Cooper would have to win all 6 races and Tomac has finish no better than fourth every race just to have a points tie between the two. Cooper would win the championship based on wins...7 to 6. I think....

To be fair, and I'm hoping for an Eli championship...but if he DOES eff up and lands outside the top 10 one time he's for sure in trouble.

That being said, I'm super impressed with how Eli is riding this year, so I really think he's got it.

Agreed. Make it a nail-biter to the bitter end.
Please no, I can't go another year with a Webb championship. How about we just have Roczen win a few and let it come between Kenny and Eli?

Tomac will have to make a huge mistake as he is faster then both of them every week and runs them down when needed!!

Roczen had one of his worst starts of the whole season in the main on Sunday
Had he started like in his heat he could have won the thing. That's how easy things can change.

I wouldn't be surprised if Webb ends up with the most points out of the 3 for these last 7 races, but he's too far out to be called a threat IMO
Roczen got in front of tomac and still lost it. How wouldn’t have tomac done the same thing if roczen had started ahead of him?

Don't forget about Barcia. He's still a player. All that has to happen is the top 3 guys have to get bad starts, run at 3/4 pace, fall down a couple times and wait for 51 to catch up and T-bone them in a 180 turn for the pass. Sooooo, I'm just saying...Barcia has a shot.

Cooper is just a tick off Eli's pace .. and probably k rocs too if Ken starts in front of him.... And he is a hot head, so it doesn't take that much to get him off his game... So this year, k roc is far more threat.. k roc has another level of speed when required and the level head that it takes in a tight title run...

You guys saying that Webb is right in it if Eli tosses one away are forgetting that Roczen has a 24 point lead on Webb. So now both Ken and Eli have to toss one away while Webb goes perfect.

Slim to none.

Cooper had the measure of Kenny in the first race and I believe that will continue. He rarely makes mistakes and gets good starts more often than Eli. Eli will probably have a terrible start at some point and possibly get caught up in something. CW is down 252 to 220 in the points standings, a big deficit. But could we see a resurgent CW make a comeback?
Yes.

Is Cooper Webb the real threat to Eli?

Through 12 rounds in 2020 SX the answer is No, and it's not even close.

I would love to see KROC, ET3, and Webb all finish on the podium the rest of the series. I'm not hoping for my fav rider to win because somebody else made a big mistake or their bike broke. may the best rider win.

Webb put himself in a position to win it all last year with consistent finishes. So far this year that applied to Tomac.

It's not close because Webb was sick for the first few rounds....then he was comin on strong and had that gnarly crash which set him back again. The kid has the heart of a lion, may not always be fastest, but has the best race craft out there and is consistent. Webb is going to be dominant for years to come.

Ken appears to be having health issues.

If Eli wins it this year, it's due to these above factors.

Let's not forget how many times Eli has thrown away the championship over and over again.

It ain't over until Rosie O'donell sings....

Webb has been dominant for exactly half of 2019. The end. Just won his 2nd race of the season in 2020 and it will be uphill from here in the outdoors.

Eli is winning because he is the fastest and most consistent.

Eli is winning because he has finally brought consistency with speed. He has 100% earned it this year. The guy now has 3 mx titles in a row and I definitely believe he will get 4 this year. Roczen is still in this thing and eli knows that. Lots of good racing to come.

Odds that Cooper wins more races than Eli in Utah?

The only way that would happen is if Eli has enough of a gap that it doesn’t matter and he just mails it in safely for the 1

Webb is no threat to the championship so Eli doesn't need to take risks to beat him. Eli will go into points management mode and cruise home to the title.

Exactly, he can just finish out 2nd to Webb if that's what it comes down to. He knows what he's doing.

Since Eli has finally sorted out his mental issues no way his confidence is sky high and now is finally the rider he was destined to be.

Interesting how you acknowledge some unfortunate circumstances for Webb and Kenny but when it comes to Tomac he's simply thrown it away. Aside from 2017, when has Tomac thrown away a 450 SX title? Certainly not in 2018 when he crashed at the opening round and had to miss the next race (the very same race Musquin crashed out of with the points lead and no one claims he threw that title away). And definitely not 2019 when he came in with a broken back and a new bike he clearly wasn't that comfortable on.

True, but there is still 5 rounds left, it’s not time to cruise yet!

You actually believe this? Funny, no mention of Marv’s knee last year or Eli’s back. Webb is just better? Thanks for the chuckle.

He is a known tomac hater,. Says he likes all the riders but wont ever admit he is wrong. Always has excuses, typical.

See a pattern? Guess he forgot kroc only beat tomac outdoors, because shoulders werent healed. He never mentions shit like that.

Tomac is hated because his introverted personality play against him (I like introverted people, they are different). These guys judge the cover not the book. You doesn't like the guy ? No problem but don't downplay the rider (Especially when he is one of the greatest rider on earth) because if you do that, you dowplay your favorite sport as well.
