I drove past the stadium and peeked in at the track, I saw Cooper Webb driving and honked and waved. Then wrapped up my passing through getting stuck in a protest/rally gone bad... Hopefully this doesn't affect racing!

Edit: my post on a racing forum about racing motorcycles does not mean I don't understand the severity and seriousness of the rally and its meaning.

Yeah, there's a curfew in SLC from now through Monday morning. I'm awaiting an answer on whether this affects us. The bulk of the problem is about 2.5 miles from the stadium.

I was just about to mention that actually, I doubt they will make it up the hill anywhere close to the stadium, nothing worthwhile for them up there.

Except a bunch of fancy trucks and bikes.

As long as every thing gets under control by tonight it should be fine but if it's still going on tomorrow I can see it getting cancelled

Dang, I thought maybe I misheard but but you’re right. It’s curfew from 8pm tonight until 6am MONDAY morning. I don’t know how curfews work but that seems troubling...

Mayor said ppl are allowed to travel to work so pretty sure they will be allowed to have the close event. Isnt like spectators allowed anyways. So as long as they get everyone off the streets should be fine

Some people might say it's ridiculous but as these protests get more out of control it's not crazy to think if someone sees all those big fancy rigs they wouldn't go after them. What better way to get attention than to burn down a parking lot full of corporate semi's loaded with highly flammable race gas.

I'm hoping things get under control or at least they have decent security but the way 2020 has gone so far nothing would surprise me anymore.

The Denver curfew is for downtown. I would guess SLC is similar. And riders and teams are not “ out on the street”

Knowing some of the transportation specialists, I'm not sure any of the troublemakers would have much luck with that.

I can't say I've ever heard of SLC wheelie boys.

Did ML512 say “well, things can’t get any worse” again? He promised he wouldn’t say that again.

Yeah, these drivers have to deal with the thugs in Atlanta and Detroit every year, I’m sure they can handle the Utah millennial pricks...

Hell, the riders and mechanics will kick any "protesters" ass for trying to interrupt their chance to FINALLY go race!

Bwahahaaahaaa

How the hell ANYBODY that calls themsleves a Motohead-racefan can thumbs-down this hilarious post is beyond me.
Also, it tells me what the "spineless little homebodies that steal time on mom's computer" are really like.

Please, you brave key-board warriors of ageless nobility, feel free to give this post a thumbs-down, too.

Tell Feld to hire some extra security. It’s not like they don’t have the money.

i typically attend ~1/3 of the races live. save my dogs and family, it's my favorite thing on earth.

george floyd's life, and the lives of others lost to the abuse of power, are more important than a single supercross race. this has nothing to do with wheelie boys—don't be absurd.

Wow.

Some of you guys have realy jumped the shark.

No worries. You should have a wonderful time with this matter in Non-Moto. Go have a great time with your virtue signaling and social justice.

I thought this was about Moto and the the reference to what the "The Transportation Specialists" can handle or Wheelie Boys rippin thru down-town SLC on KR's or Eli's bike was funny.

But, go ahead, have at it.
