Nice looking build! They are without a doubt one of the best handling 125's ever made, I didn't think the motors were that bad stock, well yea they were LOL but they come alive with some simple mods. I had a PC pipe on mine and preferred the stock pipe even with all the other mods, about to try the FMF factory pipe. Good job on the build, gotta love a CR125

We have an '07, and it is one of the best-handling MX bikes I've ridden. With sorted-out jetting (stock is ridiculously off) and a PC pipe/shorty silencer, it runs very well and will easily keep up with other 125s of its era (and later). We used a JD jetting kit on ours, and with minor fiddling got it to run perfectly.

Thanks for the kind words. As I mentioned a lot of this was delayed/postponed due to becoming a parent haha.

Waiting on the cylinder from Millennium and I need to build up the new rear wheel, then I'll finally be close to firing her up.

I have an '07 which I bought in '08 (I think) and it has been a great bike! I bought a '17 TC125 this spring and it's the first bike I have ridden that corners as well as the Honda, plus it has more power Smile

Really digging the TC so far, even the air forks! Air filter is an awesome setup, power is good, handling is great, hydro clutch is sweet, not sure what else to say. I've been a Honda guy all my life (have a first year CR125 and a last year) but the Husky is darn good. I'm 165lbs and 6' if that helps

Nice! Thanks that does help. I have a few bikes but was looking at the TC 125 and ktm 150. I would like a super light bike I can modify. I don’t (and won’t really) know how I feel about the suspension until I ride one but I’m thinking that would be first to go. Thanks I appreciate your time and input!

I have a few KTMs as well and am actually a fan of the AER48 air forks on my 250sx. I weigh 150 and am 5'8". I feel like in general, heavier people have a hard time with them and getting them setup to work well.

Got an email a week back from Millennium letting me know my cylinder was delayed. Hard to complain when I’ve taken my sweet ass time tending to this build. Anyway, it showed up today and Looks perfecto! Once I assemble the powervalve and bolt everything up it’ll technically be ready to run.

Not much unfortunately! When I bought this I was planning to put most of my extra time toward it and I did for a while. Life threw us a baby girl which we had in April and this year has been generally crazy (for everyone) to say the least.

Bike is mostly done other than getting the swing arm and rear wheel on. The only thing really holding it up is putting more hours in to recondition the swing arm properly. It has scratches and a few gouges that don't look good.

Yeah I get it, probably hard to just spend a quick 5-7 hrs in the garage without anyone noticing. My swing arm was ugly so I smoothed it out the best I could then painted it. That won’t work for your build. Well update when you get it all together!

Pretty pumped, this was the quickest wheel build/true/mount I’ve ever done and didn’t even get a scratch on the new black hoops!

I am debating tearing down my wheels on a KTM to powdercoat the hubs and redo the spokes and nipples, how hard is it to build wheels given I have the proper equipment?

Personally, I think it's way easier than a bicycle wheel. Assuming your rim is new/perfectly round and spokes/nipples are new then it goes together very well if you have patience. The assembly is so stout that if you take your time, it should be VERY close to no hops or wobbles when you're ready to do the final true and set spoke tension.

Pick a side and do inner spokes, then outer spokes, then flip and do the same for the other side. Then tighten every single nipple the same depth (still finger lose), then start with the process of tension on the spokes, skipping 3 spokes so as you go around the wheel your tightening a left spoke, then a right spoke, then a left, and so on. I start to look at any hops or wobbles after all the spokes have some tension on them.

Sweet bike this is my friend's 06 cr125/139. A few years ago he decided to make it like his 06 cr250 he did a similar build on. It's in a 2010 crf250r chassis now.

Still using the excuse of my kiddo for not finishing this but I also got a new bike that I wanted to ride and mess with haha.

So I put the newer CRF front end on the bike and used 2020 CRF plate/fender/fork guards. I'm not a fan of the full restyled plastics set but had the intention of mixing new and throwback in a (hopefully) tasteful way. That said, I went with these minimal graphics. 1) to be a bit of a throw back and 2) I'm going to end up selling the bike rather than keep it forever like I originally planned. So taking these off and still having brand new plastics will be easy for someone if they hate the look.

I've gotten them from motostuff.com and also in bolt fastener kits, something like this

That’s a clean, simple, yet tasteful look for that bike man.

Super sharp cr125. 03 kx125 hgs budd pipe, off idle snap into a much stronger mid range with more top end ovr rev. Had Rad valve and a icat- quicker snap, helps with jetting a little. I dented the inside of pipe to clear the radiator hose on the 04, a 05 does hv that hose. Tried a 04 pc pipe on the 06 also, low to mid super quick then a quick drop no ovr rev. Could do a 3rd gear start, and I,m 175 . Guy Cooper rides a 05 cr125

Took me FOREVER, but I finally refinished the rear spring. No way I was going to put the ugly yellow spring back on there. With that done, I could actually button up the rear of the bike and put fuel/oil in! Rolled her out of the garage, gave 3 kicks and she fired up. What a relief after sitting for so long after the engine build and never actually trying it.

Donezo. Got the carb dialed in and she’s purring! For underpowered bikes, I love how throaty these Honda 125s are.
