You may want to try the tuning they have on MXO sports, they have some bike good set ups. The all around 450 tune works pretty well. I tend to use a set up close to it but I tend to go a little harder with the suspension.

Looks like Rainbow announced complete 2020 national tracks. Starting with Hangtown tomorrow. I'm excited for The Wick but it's going to be tough switching back from MESX3.
That's a major no-no in game dev for a few reasons; one being that what the more hardcore fans like is almost never in sync with the general population that's casually playing the game which makes up the majority of the player base (which from an analytics side is probably much larger than most people think). Those casual players can feel really alienated by changes like that. So the middle ground to completely overhauling physics is to create the ability to change the feel of the game through tuning, and then watching what people do and taking that into development of a future product.
The game isn’t a sim and I know most of us wish it was . From their perspective they have to try to create a game for all players to enjoy. Sadly some of those players have never raced or even rode a mx bike before. With the current physics bike setup is key. With a more realistic bike tuning it can play more towards sim than arcade though. Part of that is also in line choice. I tend to use the brakes and hit some inside berms in corners that may have an outside line where braking isn’t necessary and full throttle is possible. It’s like the game has exploits that are arcade like but you don’t have to do them. I don’t do backflips and freestyle tricks either but I’m sure some players do.
Maybe TheREASZN can chime in on it?
That said, one major change that I would love to see in the future version is the ability to edit the tuning while in the Time Trail mode.
Also, look at the customization in Forza Horizon 4. They have a community component that allows users to share tuning settings as well as designs. I think this would be a great addition to any future MX vs ATV games. Here is a video of someone designing their own skin: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rPozx-Hmwko

Thinking towards the future, do you like this type of Season Pass where you pay $XX.XX and then get a steady drip of new content over time?
Dunno i loved SX encore but never really got into ALL OUT, but from messing around a bit past days to prepare for these national tracks it does feel like it has improved allot.
Mx: same but move engine and suspension to the right 1/3 -1/2 way.
I hated sx until I used these settings. The only way you can clear big rythyms easily.
Any further on the close can. I find myself leaning back like on reflex as well and loop out
As far as turning try softening suspension if bouncing. Probably more important than that is using right stick for rider weight. Lean back when necessary but don’t lean back when you should be leaning forward or somewhere in between. It takes practice but once you figure it out staying in ruts and berms is more normal than bouncing. If track gets really tore up after several laps try some new lines. Just like irl sometimes the line you’ve been using is no longer the best choice. Hope this helps.
