So I decided to put my own little touch on this build and have some small parts made from Carbon. Its pretty cool to see your ideas come to life. Had the case saver and chain guard piece 3d printed for fit before I pull the trigger and have them cut from carbon plate

3D printed parts fit great. As soon as I find a reasonable place to water jet I'm going to get them manufactured

Not a whole lot to update. Got a sneak peek at some of the parts coming out of round two at PVB of Georgia. I love this process. The finish it puts on parts is top notch!

That is cool if you are up this way you have to to come by and check out the two I have. 1986 CR125 and 1995 CR250.
They were a wreck when I got them

Looks like this is going to be an epic build. The vapour blasting really does leave parts like new!

Looking good man. I love that vapor blasted look. That said though, and I know it's a heart breaker, I think that entire side should be coated for that KHI look. That one dark cover will stick out like a sore thumb. Your call, of course. I'm following either way. Looking forward to this one!

Took 10 minutes. Most of that was setting up the bit.

Bringing this thread back from the dead. Working on this thing for two years, I finally began the final assembly. From what was supposed to be a basic restoration evolved into a full "restomod" of sorts.

Looks like you got that plastic to fit really well! Did you have to make a lot of special brackets?

No. I purchased a kit that allowed me to use the complete rear subframe, tank etc from a newer bike
