*Drool...
When you sit on it, does it feel wide like I remember?

I love that you sourced the pink bar pad!
But honest question, why did you lose the blue on the forks?

Thanks man. My bike is a 91. McGrath's raced the kawi in 1990 when they had silver forks so I'm just trying to make it look as correct as possible

Thank you. I used curry custom coatings for my frame paint. Prismatic powder kiwi I believe

I had a new '90 KX125 back in the day. I put #125 on it because I saw a pic of MC in a magazine on his '90 Kawi. Everyone asked me why I picked #125. I told them is was McGrath's number. They said "who???" Lol. It was a good bike back in the day. Good memories! Awesome build and thanks for saving another roached bike. Lol

The off color green Gas tank finally got the best of me. I broke down and bought an aluminum tank so I can paint it for an accurate color.

Factory Alu Parts tank? I am not convinced with the fit on those, have you compared the original and alloy tanks side by side?

Seat doesn't look flush on those

Agreed!
Looks awesome with the exposed aluminum. Maybe a sticker like the picture kawafornication showed, but painting that tank seems a bit like wearing a burka after getting a face lift.

I am not very pumped that my OEM gas cap wont fit on my tank. What tank is that on your bike?

Ha! I agree to a point. I am trying to keep this bike as close to a McGrath replica as I can.

It is a tank that "Factory Alu Parts" made (not my bike), I wanted to buy one so asked for more pictures, they added these of a customers bike, I pointed out that the seat over laps the edges at the top and also that the cap overlapped but they tried to dispute it, just look it is un deniable and that is why I asked have you had the OEM tank side by side with it not knowing what make it was at the time! If you purchased it from them I would guess they have added the cap to eliminate at least one of the two faults the tanks have! I got "Holab Concepts" to refurbish a couple of OEM tanks and they look spot on! I think the better alloy tanks are made by X-Fun http://www.xfun.it/en/product/537/Aluminium-Fuel-Tank-for-Kawasaki.html although I am not 100% sure I think this is one of their tanks, I have lost the picture taken above!

I have a couple of builds on the go, the 125 is more of an OEM build but wanted the alloy tank for an evil wannabe works style I have in the pipeline and am going to race! I am selling the 125 after I receive the seat back as was not happy with it having seams!

PS, you do realise Mcgrath didn't have a full works bike in 1990, the crankcases were not grey/magnesium!

I do realize that MCs bike did not have the grey magnesium covers and I'm okay with my decision. I am painting the Aluminum tank to keep it simple and clean after I refine a few of the welds. Your bike looks great

After months of trying to find the correct decals for this build I can finally say that the rear fender is done. Haha.

Yes, please show us your vapor cabinet. I am doing this for sure I’m just not sure if I buy one already done or turn mine HF bead blast cabinet into one.
Absolutely top tier restore work my friend. Excellent. More pics would be nice of the process. I mean I can be done with one of your restores in a few minutes. More savory content.....More!

Besides that...Blast Cabinet!...More, more.

PS... That #2 Kawi image is the tits. I copied an image of that for inspiration.

All your builds are sick. I follow you on IG as well.

You ride any of your bikes??? I am in the middle of a '94 KX250 PC replica, and I tell you what, I am starting to think it may be a stand queen when I'm done. All the work and money I'm putting in and Im not sure I can ruin it all in a weekend. lol
