Market testing the lows from Oct

TSLA up 13% so far after positive Q1 results came out.
I came here to congratulate you on your risk. I couldn't gather the courage to go back in when they dipped down to $350ish. I never doubted they would be back to pre Covid valuations I just expected the stock to drop after Q1 earnings and then I would buy back in. Anyways..... Great Investment!

All I know is my company just fired 2000 people here including half my team in an effort to not go out of business. Boeing is firing 16,000. Elon is 100% correct. Stay at home if you "prefer", the rest of us have work to do.

Definitely not arguing his belief's or anyone else's about the lockdown or not locking down, just pointing out his heightened vigilance in promoting his views at this time. Smile

Shit the guy is worth 10 times that to Tesla. 750 is a friggin' bargain! Telsa is about to chew up and spit out all the other auto manufacturers.

While I think TESLA's stock price is one of the biggest jokes out there, he was spot on in this and his calling out the lockdowns as faccist.

This level of control is a government's wet dream.

Look at this craziness of the pace of fed security purchases compared to the response from 08. What took 80 weeks of money printing in QE1 took only a few weeks to achieve this time.

For those wondering why the stock market is going up despite 30 mil unemployed and an estimated -40% GDP in Q2 the chart is all you need to see.

The scary part is that they're not even close to being done.

Interesting timing, I’m actually reading a book right now that talked a bit about the feds response to the 08 crisis. Obviously this is a very different scenario and we can argue till the bitter end about the politics of it all, but one of the main takeaways I got was that the fed was criticized heavily for not acting quickly enough to quell the damage (namely not bailing out Leiman Brothers) and allowing it to spiral out of control before they stepped in to clean up the mess. I have a feeling hey DO NOT want to get blamed for this kind of mess again. Now, I’m not advocating for action of inaction, I’m just thinking that’s their thought process, take action early to avoid playing the blame game later on.

Now, I think this is probably setting us up for some huge issues down the road like we’ve discussed a couple pages back, but imagine this scenario. If China is indeed found to be at fault for the spread of this virus along with the help of the WHO suppressing information, it’s possible we could sue China for a decent chunk of our national debt. I have no idea how likely of a scenario that really is, but I’ve heard it talked about and that could explain the massive stimulus spending we’re seeing. Just throwing it out there as a topic of discussion. . .

Btw, Royal Caribbean has been on fire lately, hopefully that keeps up because I bought in at the low point.

When debt levels are so high across all categories, every crisis becomes a financial crisis.

Why are debt levels so high? Low interest rates

Why are interest rates so low? Central banks (more particularly the Fed)

Is this by accident? ......

I'm still confused about how exactly you would go about suing China. In what court? Who enforces the outcome? Do China put their hands up and admit it. Sorry our bad, don't worry paying us back all that money you owe us? Not likely

If the US refuse to pay up then we have potential for military action. WW3 im sure wont be good for the economy's either

Trade sanctions basically hurt both sides as well so i don't see how that's an option.

I feel like the blame game isn't helpful anyways. Remember the Spanish flu originated in North America so nobodies immune in all of this.

Ha ha, I hope he keeps talking and gets it down to about 50 bucks so I can load up. Smile
Well, it didn't get down to 50 bucks but got low enough for me to pick up another 5 shares. Thank you Elon! Smile

I can't see how this will end well for anyone. CA could care less if he took his ball and went to rip off some other State, so the State isn't going to be playing his game. I'm a Tesla fan, but he is just being a dick now.

The thing that is a bit insane is that Elon wants to move headquarters to Texas. But then votes for and supports Democrat politicians. The very same ones who won’t let Tesla open back up in the first place and have pretty much destroyed California.

Love to have these jobs in Texas, but hate all the liberal baggage they bring with it.

Actually we're only 2 weeks away from sending the first Americans to the Space station on a SpaceX rocket. Smile

Alameda County: You can't open your factory.
Elon Musk: I do what I want!

Ha ha, I love it. Smile I have no idea how he votes, nor do I care to be honest. Maybe he's like me and doesn't vote, at least I don't plan on voting again. I just can't bring myself to check a box for any of those morons.

Good for Elon.

When i was young people use to say "This is America you can't tell me what to do" Now they say "Can we do that?"

Yeah, it's a real shame. Personally I would like to see him move everything, although my bet is he doesn't move any of the existing stuff. The government will come to their senses. So far I haven't heard of anyone being arrested.

They'll fine him and it will all get tangled up in the courts. No more, no less.
