Re financed the house which was awesome, then accidentally bought a GSXR600 for the road race nationals here, which is my new hobby. I promise it was an accident though. I was planning on not spending any money on moto as I don’t know how secure my job will be but shit happens.

Been at a great paying job for 19yrs. Worked my way up.. received a job offer to change into a completely new industry with a bigger title. Purchased a 2020 Honda 450WE for my achievements. Never new about furloughs or unemployment until this week at my new job of 6mnths. talk about a roller coaster of emotions. Will be furloughed for 2 weeks in May. where old job is showing zero disturbance from this. Best thing I have ever done in my working career, did not burn any bridges. Treated everyone with complete respect. Upon leaving I was told, I always had a job waiting if anything fell through. Eating crow is very difficult but will have my family struggling cause I’m being prideful.
Answer the question. The least amount I have ever spent on my hobby. Did let the dealer ship do a little service on my bike. Figure I would do my best to help out a local job.

Doesn’t matter your faith.
My family will be praying for everyone going through the tough times and making very difficult sacrifices.
Will get through it all no doubt.
Sorry for the rant.
Great therapy session.

I'm curious how many guys were planning on buying a new bike and have changed their plans due financial impact from covid?

Even if not a new bike, has it affected your plans to buy expensive moto gear like boots, helmet, aftermarket parts, etc?
I'm not affected financially by Covid, so that's not a factor for me.

What is a huge factor on my MX spending is that tracks have been closed for a while and will be closed at least untill 1st of september if i understand correct (only open for <18 years old).

If i'm not riding for half a year i certainly won't be buying new boots or helmets. The lack of riding and knowing i won't be able to for a long time also kills my interest in even looking for new stuff and gear.

Ive ridden more in the last 2 months than i did all last year, so spending money on maintenance, top end etc. Alsp bought a new 19 450sxf right before this started, so that does not count.

Yeah I second the house refinance. We are 5 years in and already had a really good rate and it's .5 lower and we are going to a 15 year. We already paid bi-weekly and paid more to principal so the payment is only going up $6/0 over what we already paid. I'm knocking off 10 years or more and at least $112,000. I'm hoping to maybe pay it off in about 12 years.
