Yeah that should work. I always get a 120 and cut it down. I guess I could buy shorter and save myself some time!

Did you do anything special to secure the votrex ecu? Just want to make sure it will have a tight fit and not move around under the seat.

Use the same rubber case that holds the stock ECU in there.

Thank you, I did not know if you have to Velcro it down or something since the box is a little smaller. Have you used twisted developments ten pre-made maps or did you have your bike dynoed? If you did use the pre-made maps, what map did you like most?

My maps are from Twisted but maybe a year or so old. I know they are always changing and updating.

Map 1 is very good and free. Jamie also made me a mix of maps last year at Vet World champs when he did on site testing.

If I had the chance to KYB Kit, I would. I just don’t have that set up to get my hands on. Let me know if you know someone who’s I can try!

If you can afford it or find a good deal like I did, the front it great. Super progressive and smooth braking. Helps me drag the front smoother in corners to keep the traction on the front wheel.

just picked one of these up. First ride was yesterday. Coming off a 03 kx250 all I can say is wow. I can spin endless laps on this bike where as the kx took so much effort to make it go fast i thought i was gonna have a heart attack. Previous owner had a few tasteful mods done with a racetech spring conversion/sdi bladder kit in shock, fmf ti exhaust, break away levers, and ti propegs. very stoked.

Doing the clutch mod Joe highlighted early in this thread this week.

I'm new to Vital. I have a 2018 350 sxf and my son a 2016 125sx.
My question is have you ever tried 14/49 gearing (and use 2nd like 3rd)? I only ask because my son runs 49t and it would be nice to interchange wheels in an emergency. (currently 14/50 on the 350 and looking for more pull in 3rd)
We ride predominantly sand tracks.

I personally wouldn’t run a 49 unless you drop to a 13t front. If you did that, it would give you a very close ratio to 14/52, almost exactly the same.

I like using 3/4 gear because I feel the suspension is more free in those gears. They say race teams use 14/52 because it frees up the suspension as well. But I’ve never done I direct comparison back to back with 13/49.

I thought I read there's a downside to running a smaller front sprocket (chain guide wear?) but maybe I'm dreaming.
I just need to dig up the chain I already bought and see if there's enough links for 52. Doh!

Yeah there are negatives to 13 like chain guide wear and pressure the chain puts on the swing arm that can effect the rear shock. But the 125/150 has 13 stock I believe. So it’s not like it’s crazy and shouldn’t be done or anything.

I think my 2016 250sxf came stock with 13/50.

106 sag and forks at the second line.

I’ve just been experimenting with going to the 3rd line On the fork and it’s been positive. Gained front end traction but have lost much high speed stability.

If you still own it, are you going to get the new RS-12 exhaust? I'm looking at getting the new RS-12 or a HGS exhaust for my bike.

Yeah I still have the bike. About 90 hours on. Yes I’ll get the new RS12 when it’s ready for the KTM.

Most likely I’ll keep this bike for 2 more seasons because I don’t think they are going to change for a while. I’m hoping to wait and rebuild at 125-150 hours.
