Check this guy out!!!!!!!

Every time I see that I think to myself where does one come to the conclusion at a LOCAL track on PRACTICE day with all kinds of riders with different SKILL levels it would be a good idea to attempt that? Woohoo

What was the backstory to that?
I thought I heard he was not even a pro rider just some guy with steel balls or a nut job--it's a fine line.

He rode pro, just not a national caliber rider. In reality, the way he did that jump, it’s not that big, most pros would do it.

Rookie White. Kid still rips, just never made the move to National pro level. He was a Suzuki support Am rider when he was on 80's.

And no, most riders (even pros) would ever attempt that jump. It was basically a quintuple that was meant to be two different jumps, and right after landing was a sharp left turn berm that he was launching off of into the pits...and that was just to slow down! Just that one incidental single was larger than most jumps most riders would ever attempt.

Why do I know this is such detail? I was the guy on the YZ125 in that video that followed right after him. It's one of my few claims to fame!

I raced him at the Perris hot summer nights series a couple times in 85 open. Not sure what he does now.

Yeah it's impressive but doing this on an open practice day is irresponsible at best

No, I've seen it before and every time I see it I'm still AMAZED!

Did you miss the part where I asked if he was still ALIVE?

And he lands in a gap between two jumps. How in the hell would you even have the foggiest idea where you are going to land in that scenario?

No that was a different track down south. This is at LACR and this jump was MUCH BIGGER, but according to Uptite--no big deal.....Laughing

Yeah...that video didn't help his cause any.... total lack of regard for the saftey of others on the track.

He's a "hero" because nonone was hurt/killed....imagine if it were the other way around.

agreed, cutting the track to do it with others around, would be kicked out of most tracks for doing this,

Not that big?

There are some really stupid things posted on Vital every day......you sir may have just posted the single dumbest thing in years.

Congratulations

Most pros COULD do it, but I don't think most pros WOULD do it

STUPID. Plain and simple. I said it back then and still haven't changed my mind.

Doing a jump that big is one thing...

Doing it blind, not knowing who's on the track ahead of you, including smaller riders that could've easily been hidden from view between jumps, is just sheer stupid. Glad he didn't kill anyone or himself.

For you guys hollering about him being reckless doing it during open practice, he did it twice and the track staff(who happens to be a very close family friend) put a stop to it. They told him if he wanted to do it after the track was closed, that was fine. He waited and did it a few more times after the track was closed for the day.

I've got no problem with him doing the jump after hours on a closed track. As I said earlier...it's an impressive jump.

My problem is with putting others at risk on a live track like that. That is pure stupidity.
