I don't think you have enough ratchets and hammers...
here is the expanded pic of the hammers, and to think why do we need so many different hammers when all we do is hit things with them in anger for the most part. Blush

I started buying Roybi one cordless tools for jobs around the houses and home improvement type work and Home Depot has so many buy one tool get one free and sales that they are easy and less expensive to acquire than Dealt or Milwaukee and do the job no problem. I had my $200 Dewalt drill fall off my ladder and hit the concrete and break the housing and they said I was out of luck and you will have to buy a new one, did the same with the $125 Ryobi and I called to see if I could buy the trigger housing and they sent me a whole new drill and told me to keep the broken one, I register everything I buy on the Ryobi and they are good about customer service.

I take pics of all my tools with list of model numbers for my insurance because if the insurance company thinks you use you tools to make a living then home owners may not cover them so I buy a separate policy that cover just my tools from air compressors to mig and tig welders bead plaster, etc etc. And I bring home something new at least once a week and my wife bans me from Home depot from time to time.

Both boxes at home nowadays as I don’t need my personal tools for work anymore.
I’m not home atm to open my draws but they’re a little OCD or CDO depending on how OCD you are

Yep, you have the tool disease too, it would be cheaper to be addicted to cocaine than tools. Wink

I got 2 new tools this month, both paid for themselves already. Cordless sawzall and this tire step thing that seems kind of stupid but for the $33.00 I paid for it it’s already saved me a few trips climbing in and out of the truck, SOLD! 😂

Toolbox goals.

Enjoy!!!

(Disclaimer: This is not my toolbox but I will be building a box similar in the not too distant future.)

View this post on Instagram

The final box of 'Tool-E's 9 for 2019', belongs to the current @abbeybiketools #toolboxwars World Champion , @bee_kay77 (Brad Kelly) Brad's box is 100% #DIYFS ! The original idea for this case came from his friend @lord_chewington . Brad ran with the idea after 2 years of developing his plan of attack. Once started, he quickly realized that his 1127 x 406 @evolutiongear rifle case could easily have the equivalent volume of a multi layered toolbox. Plus, that it would actually be smaller in size and have a smaller footprint than an unpacked layered box, once the layered box was set up and spread out on a work bench or set up with #toolery hanging from it. The other main attraction that sent him down the road of a rifle case concept, was that all you need to do was open the freaking lid and bam... you were ready to wrench. He says it might not look quite as sharp as some of the tool boxes people have paid to have cut and designed by others, but in the end he had tons of fun designing, building and cutting all the foam 'by hand'. Now on to his details! His cuts are dialed. His use of EVA floor mat foam and the many tricks he used to cut his foam... are so good... that they have been copied worldwide. He said his design saves bench space by allowing him to have at least twice as many tools up in the air, on and behind the tool board. His space saving was accomplished by building a carbon shelf supported by gas struts and a lid that allowed him to have storage on both sides. As for box weight, he is close to flight weight and can remove things he doesn't need based on his work location. Brad said he stands by these points... "Looks are one thing, and its definitely a bonus if you can make your toolbox look good ... without sacrificing function and efficiency". "These boxes need to be worked out of, not polished for show". In our opinion he truly pushed this years #toolboxwars craze to the ultimate level, that's why he won 'Tool-E's Box of the Year' on our feed. @knipex_official @enduro_bearings @weratoolsna @pbswisstools @parktoolblue @powerbuilttools @abbeybiketools #builtnotbought #realmechanicsdontneedwings #toolsnotwar #thankful

Still getting my setup finished up. I just picked a top 5 drawers of that toolbox there in the photo. Had that toolbox now for 15 years, it’s been good to me!

I saw you pic with your extra locks with the keys in the proper lock and just smacked myself up against my head. I have been putting locks in one box and keys in another box for 30 plus years and of course can never find a key to fit the lock even though I know I have it and yet its such a simple solution to keep the keys in the lock, I am stealing your idea and kicking myself for being so dumb. Blush
True story: it ALWAYS rains whenever I move. Same story, different year for close to 20 years now. Needed a lock for the moving truck on New Years Day, but I couldn’t find my old trusty one or the key. So I ran to the closest store still open and bought a new one. Only problem? The shackle didn’t fit the the lock. So back to the store, soaking wet from moving in the rain to buy another lock. Then I found my old trusty lock and key—right in my toolbox—once we moved 6 hrs down the road.

At least there’s a silver lining to the locks! Glad to pass it along! Cheers, lostboy819!

Man some of you guys have some awesome setups. No mater how hard I try my boxes seem to end up in chaos.
These first are from my overflow box at work, stuff I need but don’t use everyday. The boxes were provided for us and after 3 years with no lost time accident if you quit you get to keep the box.

This is the box I use on the floor. (Heavy equipment mechanic) this box drives me nuts trying to keep it organized.

My home box, I can normally keel this one fairly organized but I am definitely tight on room.

Now this is my greatest facebook purchase to date. Paid $1500 for this box and all the tools. I haven’t gone through everything yet my I know the box alone was 500 new and the yellow snap on picks were $100 new so I’m pretty confident i came out on the great end of that deal. Now just gotta get these last 2 night shifts over so I can get it moved in and combine boxes.

Been around aviation for many years, military and contractor (as a pilot not mechanic). All of the mechanics boxes have to be shadowed for tool accountability and FOD prevention, plus it makes them easier to find. Did my box at home several years ago using and inexpensive method of using camping mats from Walmart and cutting to fit.

^^That seems like the only way I’d realistically put them back in an organized fashion. A place for everything. If I don’t have that it eventually always turns into a pile. For my work I like the bucket method, I have to carry my tools into backyards and usually have some parts to carry too. The bucket theory works. 98% of pool equipment can be fixed with what’s in this bucket (tool wise) If Not they’re bummed ☹️😂

Cool to see the old black handled Craftsman Pro screwdrivers.

Is that torque wrench wound down to the bottom of the range? As best I know, storing them otherwise can throw off the accuracy.

Yes the torque wrench should be set to zero when not in use. Military has to be calibrated annually,

Is that like getting a sponsor for AA?Because me thinks he has a serious problem...Laughing Laughing That's a lot of cordless going on right there.

People always give me shit because I don't have enough cordless tools. I just stick with my air tools and a few corded ones. Only have a couple cordless drills and small impact drivers.

I have a ton of air tools, only things I used until I got my milwaukee 1/2" cordless impact. Now I am like a rolling Milwaukee advertisement. I love my milwaukee cordless tools, been great.

My next tool purchase is going to be a better torque wrench. The one That I have now is pretty old and has been borrowed and probably isn't as accurate as I'd like? Better safe than sorry I suppose. What's a good all around torque wrench for moto? Is it worth it to invest in 2 different sizes or will a good 1/2in cover the lower #?
