Wanted to make a thread to pat these dudes on the back...

Just got my set of the new prodigy gear and holy moly... this stuff is NICE.! I’m 240 and Went with a 36/XL and everything is true to fit.

The jersey is made of some really nice 4way stretch material and is very light. I love that the lower sleeves aren’t made for a skeleton and my forearms have room to pump up after a lap or two. I’m not a fan of the new slim fit everything and this stuff was exactly what Ive been looking for. Its loose enough to be comfy, but snug enough to not be flapping all over the place.

I got the jersey printing and it looks pretty good. It’s my first time with a jersey with my name and number on it and I’ll be honest, I probably won’t ever get a jersey with printing on it again. Not a fan of the way feels but hey it costs to look fast.

The pants are the nicest pants I’ve ever owned. They’re extremely light ,well made and thoughtful. The Inner knees are made with thick brown leather and seems like they will last thru many starts. Also the 360 degree belt system is a very cool idea. It’s literally a built in belt that hooks and loops around to Velcro down where you need it. . I got no ass and my moto pants seem to sag a lot so I’m stoked. Also the bottom has some padding under the ass similar to road bike shorts so double stoke.

The gloves are very nice as well. very comparable to the leatt gloves(nicest in the game) I gambled and went with an XL. I usually go large but seems like men are shrinking or something because every new set of Large gloves I buy get smaller and smaller on my hands. I’ll get a large when these wear out because they are very comfy and have room to stretch. the palms are nice suede and are very grippy without any silicone to rip off after the first ride.

Overall very pumped on this set! Its my first brand new set of gear in years and can’t wait to see how it feels on the track and holds up. if you’re looking into getting a set of gear I’d say check this stuff out. It’s sick.

By the way I opened the box a little while ago today, WEDNESDAY 2/26 after ordering it straight from O’Neal MONDAY NIGHT 2/24 @ 7PM! And this was with some customizing. INSANE

That is some quick ass delivery times. O'neal prime
I was honestly expecting it to come in a couple weeks since I got the jersey printed. I’ll get some pics up when I get riding in it Tongue

Is prodigy stuff as durable/ well made as the harwear line? Also where did you buy from. Oneals site wont let you make a purchase.

This is my first set of O-Neal gear, so I wouldn’t be able to say on the durability, but comparing to the hardware stuff I’ve seen at chaparral it’s much better made. I bought it thru O-Neal but you can get it on bto sports and Motorsport I believe.

i've been running Oneal for about 5 years now and it's some great stuff. the quality is top notch and the price is just right. i just got the RDX2.2 boots and absolutely love them. probably the best boots i've ever worn.

the mountain bike stuff is great too. i have a few pairs of shorts and the Pinned flat shoe and love them. the shoe is equal to a FiveTen lace up.

Good to know on the mountain bike stuff for future reference. How would you compare the boots to a set of gaernes?

mainly they are really comfortable for a non-bootie boot. the buckles are really smooth and don't take a hammer to buckle (looking at you Alpinestars and Gaerne) and are really easy to un-buckle but not so easy that they come undone. i also have long legs so i like how high the shin protection comes up. my last boots (Tech 10) were too short so there was a gap between my knee protection and the boot. there is an adjustable height system as well to help with taller riders, if you have huge calves then you can adjust for that as well.

i really like the molded sole, gives the boot a tacky feeling on and off the bike. hiking around on rocks i don't feel like i'm going to slip. the rubber on the sides feels good on the bike and again, helps keep my legs tight to the side of the bike and not feel like i have to squeeze so hard to stay put. they were a little stiff right at first which is to be expected. the ankle support feels solid as well and i've already passed the "overjump without feeling like my ankles are going to buckle" test with them.

i haven't ridden in rain or stream crossings yet with them, so i can't say much about keeping water out. but if they are any better than the sponges that my Tech 10's were then i'll be happy.

seriously my only CON with them is that i had to go up a size from normal. in my case i was able to go up 1/2 size and the fit is nice and snug without being too tight or loose.

this is a premium high-end boot without the high-end cost. but that can be said for all of O'neal products from my personal experience.

the mountain bike gear is great, especially the shorts and shoes. the bottom of the Pinned shoes has a really stiff sole but a real gummy honeycomb (Vans) sticky feeling on flats. they also have an SPD knockout if clipless is your thing. if i could change anything on the shoes it's that i would add a velcro strap to the top to keep the laces out of the way. also they look like skate shoes, so if you're not geekin' out in lycra and those dorky spd shoes then these are the ticket.

the shorts (i got the Rockstacker and Pin-It) are super light but durable and highly adjustable.

i haven't tried any of the Azonic hard-parts other than the lock on grips.

as for the boots, i hated my Gaerne SG10's, never tried the SG12. i would probably compare the Oneal to a Sidi boot. see my deeper review above.

Oneal is awesome. This set has been my favorite fitting set. Has the Velcro strap on the front of the pants, very comfy. Airwear I think??

We have a set here at the office and while I haven't got to wear it, it's definitely some top shelf gear!
