What’s the point if it’s one bumpy rut down the middle by the final races??

I thought it was great for a triple crown normally the advantage falls to one side jumpers/skimmers. 1st main skimming was fastest 2nd main you could go either way last main jumping was faster.

Man how fast was Roczen through the whoops that first main and the second main Sexton standing up in the bowl turn to carry momentum into the left side of the whoops

Coop of course needs to heal up. But when he does he’s got to figure those whoops out. He’d gain time on Kroc every lap then lose it in the whoops that first main. Track was so fun to watch them ride. Tv did no justice to that hip jump. It was a wall! It was insane how fast those top 3 were pushing the final moto in the 450’s. Tomac Just punishes corners lol

Should put tough blocks down the middle line before the mains. Force the riders to the sides instead of down the middle chewed out spot.

Lol my exact thoughts. Imagine if they were big as the ones in Dallas. That would be a wild race to watch.

That was pure SICness what Roczen did to those whoops in the first moto!

Cool to see that some guys kill them when they are perfect and then other guys do better as they break down.

San Diego 96 also had a full 100 yard straight with whoops.

But they are tiny in size compared to modern sections.

San Diego 2012 was similar and they were blitzing all night.

Not sure why a post like this gets a stupid thumbs down. This is exactly how the track should be.

They had plenty of huge whoops in 1996. They also put whoops going up to triples and dragons backs and doubles in the middle of the whoops. They would even put a giant whoop in the middle of the section to throw people off.
I would like to see more of that or check this track out.
Whoops down the straight, all the way around the turn and into the next straight.

Moto twats Jeffro. Just gotta let shit go over your head these days. Some get it. Most don’t. I try really hard to understand but more or less have given up.

I think building a SX track with 4 sets of whoops could make for a very interesting race. Make one set huge, another set small but spaced far apart, maybe one set out of sand. Just mix it up. Might turn out to be a stinker of a race, but might turn out to be amazing too.

If they were breaking down, you sure couldn’t tell it from the stands. It seem like they were wasting their time between races working on the track other than the right down the middle. That track and dirt held up fantastic, the futures got rutted up jump faces and corners because way more bikes.

In the early part of the nights show, Blake Baggett was the fastest through the hoops by a long way, but then he even slowed down.

The tracks seem so much wider, with way more options, than today.

Those whoops were horrible this week. 250s Lap 1 Race 1 guys were jumping them.

San Diego 1996 was the longest section I raced on. But they were super super small...

No. Don't forget, timed practice forces everyone to ride ONE FAST LINE all afternoon. Timed Practice causes a one - lined track more than anything else, they used to place haybailes in the most used lines in practice. Without Timed Practice the track would still get rough, but have multiple lines.

Is there already MES3 version of Johnsons Disease? It is a kind of a whoop section...
