I have been dreaming of this build since the 90s
I found this junk looking 1992 on CL 2000 miles from me. I put out the call on a Sunday mourning looking for someone to haul it to me. I found a farmer hauling equipment back towards me and had the deal done. Guy rode it up on the trailer and farmer locked it on with chains and straps.
That is mold growing on the seat. Plastic is faded to white in some places. Pipe is dented but usable. Frame needed dents repaired. Disc brakes were grooved 4mm deep.
The steering stops had barely ever touched and the frame tags were good

I did my own glass bead blasting. Bolts and plastic were also hit. Many hours of elbow grease were spent on the fuel tank, airbox, swingarm and resurfacing both disc brakes.

I still had this spark plug form the early 90s

It took 9 months total and a lot of internet and phone time finding parts and stickers. I have everything on the floor for an even better 1991 Peak build. I am not planning on riding this so will just cover it with plastic or hang it in the basement.

I have a 92 and am contemplating a Peak build or simply just OEM stock.
How can I get the airbox and fuel tank bright white again?
