Mainly due to my son continuously watching Kellen's (Start Your Systems track walks).
Only have a cheap ass laptop, so at the moment just have the base download game, was running the keyboard to ride lol and managed to win the novice series with in a few days.
Have a PS4 controller working now, winning the amateur series now and can put laps down on the old 2013 SX tracks.
Ill pick up a gaming PC in the coming weeks and get some more hours in, lol I am determined to master this game.
In the meantime ill kick back and watch this racing a little tonight.
It’s addicting isn’t it? Which amateur series did you run? The FAMmx SX that just wrapped up?

The one thing that ruins the whole thing is that the community is toxic like no other. I've never during all my years gaming (and that's quite a few at this point, mid 30s) encountered such a hostile playerbase, it's actually insane.
Its probably the smoothest game ive ever played.
And I'm not your "bro"
The game is from 2008 or something. Its not BF5 lol.
It has nothing to do with when the game is made. It's how poorly optimized it is and the fact it only utilizes like one core, poorly.
Maybe if you are all alone on a track, but even that is very unlikely.
There's a reason the top guys run very low graphics and/or run the old stock models that goes with the game for everyone but their own bike.
Pit Row
Sure, on a full gate with terrain deformation it drops to 80/90 but its not a big deal.
Actually being older (just in my 40s) The controls and physics were not to unfamiliar, reminded me a lot of the old Test Drive car games from the late 80s!
Sorry not an online series, just the stock points series that comes when you down load the game against the AI,
Need to buy my son a second YZ65, then ill look at getting a PC that will handle the game, at the moment just running my wifes laptop haha, It just runs the game so I am just circulating by myself on basic tracks to get some time in.
Running a PS4 controller now, spent a few hours again last night, managed to get a couple of laps in consecutively around the 2013 San Diego SX track.
I have a long long way to go, but am addicted. Not letting my 8 year old play it until I have it under control, want to be able to beat him for at least a month haha.
Round 2 is live right now if anyone is interested
I was heavily involved in the community back a few years ago. Ran TMFR, way to ambitious now that I look back at it, for a few years, got forced to pro just before I quit and I started doing a big EU SX stream that I spent way more time than I had on.
But ultimately I just couldn't stand the people. I put so much work in to my stream and my team and yet I got legit hate mails and death threats from these spoiled kids right away. The top pros dictate the tone of the community and when they behave like such assholes it infect all the newcomers and the hole is dug and impossible to get out of.
It's a shame really. It really is a great game and JLV is such a legend.
