The non-NY'ers who have not actually paid the enormous rip offs from the state of NY for decades like we have can't fully appreciate how pissed off we are.

I'm not sure by you guy's but up in the (I90 )from NY to Buffalo if you have an extra axle such as even a little 4×8 trailer it's an additional fee added to the toll . If you have a duel axle MX hauler you guessed it even more. I'm only speaking for myself , I Love NY really, even the cold weather sometimes. But the rampant money grab for my wallet at everything I try to enjoy is getting tiresome.

I love New York too, Long Island is a great place to raise kids, we’re never far from the beach, the weather sucks in the winter, the fun police are everywhere knocking down fun, you’re riding your dirt bike in an open field in the middle of no where, bike gets confiscated and at least a thousand dollar fine,wheelie boy rides down the street with a stolen dirt bike, it’s all good

I got a speeding ticket in queens coming home from wick, 195 bucks ok I was wrong no prob, two weeks later a surcharge of 300 bucks, someone has to pay for the handouts, might as well be the taxpayers

Unlike other states where over weight vehicles are 8000lbs New York cuts it at 7000lbs so they get the money from regular vans such as a ford e350

I'm not a cut and run kinda guy. This is the first place we came to (western NY) when we came from Sicily. I'm retired now and still have my youngest in Collage SUNY school. There are many beautiful Wonderful states in America but NY is my home. There's no perfect State but man besides the politics NY is Great.

Here's a tip for everyone that lives in or visits a place that gets cold in the winter (I'm talking 0 F and below with brutal wind chills). Dress for the fucking weather. Long johns, fleece lined pants, hoodie, insulated coveralls, parka, insulated boots and warm gloves. Neoprene face mask and thick wool socks. With the proper attire you can function out there. Yes, it's cumbersome and slower but you can focus on the job instead of being miserable. Working on an aircraft in Goose Bay in January teaches you some stuff.
