It seems what’s recommended is the 21.5 but also what is the change that can be made in the clutch?
Something about removing a plate (that I have never heard of) and putting in a normal plate in its place?

They come with a judder spring and small friction plate clear to the inside of the basket. Replace it with Kawasaki part number 13088-0010.

Called Cycra this morning, appears the skid plate still isn’t expected out until next spring.

Looking at Justin Starlings bike, it appears to be a 16-18 he modified. Can anyone confirm this?

I would use another brand, how does it take 2 years to make a skid plate. The bike has been out awhile now.

Check out page 81. I think someone else had an older (maybe 1990 style) kit in here too.

Rival Ink makes a nice 94 replica...

96 is my favorite year, I haven't seen a kit for it anywhere but I mocked one up on photoshop a while back.

Just be sure he has a good template for the decals for the 19-20 450. Some decal shops have terrible templates for this bike and the decals never quite fit. I ordered a full kit that turned out to be totally useless.

I've been tempted to go with this. I'm surprised there's no real good options for full coverage skid plates yet. Jacob Argubright has been running this skid plate and can bee seen on thee absolute worst website ever. Brace yourself for ad's stacked on ad's. https://www.dirtrider.com/2019-factory-off-road-bikes-jacob-argubrights-kawasaki-kx450/

Need advice on suspension tuning. Looking at factory connection and pro circuit. Have you guys had any luck with either with the 2019 or 2020 450? Wanting to send mine off this week and have it back before December is over.

I used Procircuit on my 2016 and my 2019 KX450s.They did a great job every time. Great service and they stand behind their work. They have treated me exceptionally well.

I used https://www.lainersuspension.com/en/ . A couple of my buddies have been going to Walther for a while now and have been raving about his work. He really knows his stuff and is passionate about it and wont try to sell you anything you dont need. He resprung and revalved my bike and it is amazing!! Super quick turn around and he even checked in with me to see how it felt and get feedback.

Anybody got a lead on a seat base? I just got a tall wing seat and foam from Guts and would rather have a separate seat than tear mine apart in case I dont like the tall. The OEM only comes complete and its $275!!!

I hear ya on that. Even FC couldn't make those things work on my 16 KX450. If I had kept it I was going to do the spring conversion.

Have had the 2018 rear carrier and disk on for most of the year. Much better action imo. OEM carrier/any 18 rotor.

I did but only so I could use same wheelsets on my different year kxf. I have a ‘13, ‘17, and ‘19. Personally I liked the ‘19 with the stock setup (rode it 2 weekends like that).

I bought an ‘06 (yes ‘06) carrier off eBay for $15 that had little wear and was nicely cleaned up. They are same all the way to 18.

I've heard numerous complaints about the rear end locking up too easily and suggestions to go to a smaller rear rotor. Maybe my chicken legs and weak ankles like the sensitivity of the stock 19' size because I haven't had a problem with it and have actually really liked both front and rear braking of this bike. I can't imagine how a front brake could get any better. I'm in love with this machine.

Been rocking the Factory Connection stuff and it works great , and they have 4 or 5 track side van that run around the country, so here in the midwest it nice to have tace day support.

I like the rear brake as well. It locks up to pivot in turns easy.
