It also doesn't help that they were going for a quad in that section. But I do agree running the track backwards is a dumb choice for this event.

You have to wonder how many more injuries he can sustain and keep this going? I hope it's nowhere near as bad as it looks.... Sad

It’s trying to make it difficult for the riders so they make mistakes and miss rhythms and make the racing better. If it’s all one direct everybody does the same thing lap after lap. The two ways opens up the options to learn and adapt.


Crashes are the consequence and it fucking sucks for Deano.

4 strokes are just so fast and consistent that it’s hard to try and get some 2 stroke style racing without dire consequences. I can see what rc is trying to do, and the execution of a 2 way track is pretty spectacular but maybe trying to induce mistakes is a bad idea

Look, even if it was 2 strokes only out there the guys would be pushing each other and you would still get injuries, mistakes, etc .....if you look back into the archives you will see a lot of crashing back in the '2 stroke days'. So I personally dont think 4 strokes (although probably a little bit faster) are the reason for the crashes or injuries.
