I seem to remember the 259 bike in 2001 always having the Chevy Trucks Kawasaki graphics. Only remember him running the PC graphics at LL. But that was 18 years ago, so maybe my memory is starting to slip.

Correct. CTK. He never rode for PC when he went to 125s.

I'm pretty sure he ran 259 with the 2001 splitfire bike at the Mini O's that year but I cant find a pic.

Why didn't ride Stewart for Mitch his team? Because he seems the only Kawasaki who rode for the factory team right after LL.

I’m sure I’ll be corrected if I’m wrong- but I think it had something to do with Honda.

It was known that Honda had Bubba test a factory CR125 & promised him a slot under the factory awning if he signed. I think the Stewart’s used this as a lever with Kawasaki to bypass PC and get straight under the factory awning.

I believe it had something to do with his (James') contract with Fox if I'm not mistaken.

Mitch was THOR at the time and James couldn't/wouldn't switch and they (PC) wouldn't let him wear Fox. (Though I believe they let Ricky wear Fox when the team was AXO).

Someone will probably point out a few errors but I think that's why he was under the factory tent.

98 Carmichael had axo, 99 he had fox while the team switched to Thor. I bet Kawi at that time didn't wanna let go of RC no mather what brand he had on him except for their bikes.
Same with Stewart he rode 2000 and 2001 splitfire bikes while on fox. 2002 he went pro and wanted a factory bike so Kawi gave it to him. Simple as that

Late 2001 he ran chevy trucks factory Kawi but that was the bike coming into the 2002 Supercross season. During 2001 (summer) it was the pro circuit splitfire Kawi (team green).

Go call Mitch! Mitch is at the PC shop all the time. If there are pics Mitch can probably tell you what races James did with those graphics.

Don’t know what your plan or need is..... but it looks identical to the PC race graphics. Should be able to get high res shots of Browns bike.

One thing's for sure...the PC/Kawi bikes from 98-01 were absolutely beautiful and fast as hell.

I may have given James shit over some of his shenanigans , but God damn it , he was the best 125 rider this planet has ever seen. I still watch some of his 125 days , and holy hell .....keepin' her pinned , was an understatement!

Big James said to put in the factory rig or he was going elsewhere.

Shame really, I think James could’ve benefited over the Lang haul with a couple years of Mitch’s advice.

Carmichael told Mitch He was going to wear Fox and if Mitch says no, he would move up to 250s

Truth be told, Ricky was on a factory 125 the whole time he rode for Mitch.
