Hasn't been a great year at all for Dean

“Dean’s average year” is more about off the track for me. On the track he is / has been fast. Didn’t gel well with the yamaha in the US unfortunately. But plenty of “better” riders have had the same problem on that 450.
Still not his best ride, but hopefully a couple more changes to the bike and he can step it up a bit. Even just avoiding the bad luck Australia nearly always has would be good.

What injury is Roczen recovering from by racing a two stroke next weekend? Your comment on Deano doesn’t even make sense, he raced Montreal two weeks ago. You’re just making excuses for the guys you don’t want to criticize.

Don’t try and act unbiased when you so blatantly are.

There’s a couple brothers in the USA that might have something to say about that.

I thought racing today was excellent. Great Brittan , the Aussie's , Netherland's , Belgium , Italy , USA......all had some good results for some of their riders. It didn't really look like a " walk a way " from anyone really , and the way this event works......I think we're all in for a great race tomorrow.

That being said.......good luck to all your teams , and lets all hope everyone gets out healthy!

I criticize any of the riders that made excuses not to be at the MXON. Step up and race for your country, money or schedule should be no object. If you do not believe that then, you are on the wrong thread. How the hell do you turn it down???I'm the best in America so surely I'M the best in the world? Really....Prove it, show the world that AMA is the best. I grew up buying Motocross action a week later than America just to read about Ward, O'Mara, Johnson, Bailey Etc. I was in awe of the American riders. They stepped up, if the current best riders do not value the MXON then stay at home and remove America from MXON. If not then send the best you have, anything less is dis-respectful regardless of what other countries do.
Taking all that i have said into account, that is why I have huge respect for the team that traveled over to Europe and are representing Team USA

Lol do you think Hunter and Jett are top 10 450 AMA MX riders? There fast but not as fast as Ferris, they will get there through Jett is about top 5 250 pace

Actually you do not "criticize any of the riders that made excuses not to be at the MXoN", in fact you made excuses for the ones you did not want to criticize in the post I replied to by making things up lol. Racing a two stroke in an exhibition race is a very peculiar way to recover from an injury.

I miss the good old days as much as anyone, but If it was at a traditional track, like for example Foxhills which is about an hour north of here, the race would’ve been cancelled by now and the trucks would currently be being towed out of the fields by tractor.
Yes, a sand track like Valkenswaard would hold up ok, and the paddock would be fairly manoeuvrable, but having been there on a few miserable weekends it’s safe to say that a roofed grandstand would’ve been a real treat.

It’ll be tonight on Team USA if the weather nasty. If it’s nasty I’m calling a Nathan Watson win.

I have grown up in awe of American riders, stood next to A Brit at Ernee and when told the Americans did not stand a chance against Everts and Antonio gladly stated that if Carmichael gets a good start then the euros do not stand a chance...took my Sky tv box to the pub on a Sunday afternoon so my fellow weekend riders could witness Villopoto destroy the field.
Ive grown up witnessing the American domination of MXON, I just do not get where money and schedule took over. If you are an AMA champion and fit then get your ass to wherever the MXON is being held and represent, show the world who is the best, I thought that was the point of MXON

Priorities are different for different riders. If your primary focus is the mxgp series then the mxon holds a lot more importance than in the AMA.

Times are unfortunately changing and budgets and titles are being raised in importance over one off events. Tomac knows his window of winning a sx title is closing and him and his team are focusing on that before his contract is up.

Hate him and Kawasaki all you want that have a goal they want to achieve and they are going all in.
It’s all over now and really shouldn’t be the focus of fans when you have three riders trying to do their best tomorrow.

Yep, krocs 1-1 at dilla looked healthy enough, and i guess he isnt hurt to bad to race the 2 stroke race. Nice try. Though. What s marvin, ferrandis excuse ?beside being mad? And i bet some are even racing mec. Guess they think different than you, maybe you should tell them, deano is healthy and he chose to go race for $$. Imagine that. And now that you have it figured out . Go work for free4-5 weeks and spend 100k of your own money.

Your back peddling comment is priceless. Frankly, I think the USA has sent it’s best team, the guys there are world class, highly motivated and made a commitment to the event. In my mind that qualifies as the best team.

Today’s racing, if anything, proved that we have a bunch of highly competitive teams. It’s going to be a great day of racing tomorrow.

Hunter yeah sure I reckon he’d had Ferris covered at this event, every time he has raced the mxon he has done really well.

I’ll admit Jett is a pretty big call, but considering he went 1-1 at the emx round on this track a couple of years ago makes it atleast a valid point to argue.
