Hello, I posted some years back about myself in a thread, got a lot of positive feed back that I was very thankful for as I wasn’t sure if I would become a punching bag when posting something like that...here’s the original post for everyone to see & understand https://m.vitalmx.com/forums/Moto-Related,20/Any-Business-Owners-On-Her…

Well I’m proud to say that almost 4yrs later I’ve started a business that works with the state & is state licensed, something I’m very proud of....as I did it all when I felt my worst, having seizures etc...it’s a small business but growing slowly & is helping with my parents bills, just like I said I would do

But I’ve found a new passion of mine & that’s Day Trading....I know when done properly it can be profitable, everyone talks about how it takes a strong mind, well I’ve had 18 surgeries, competed at the Pro level & now live life with a lot of unpleasant side affects that try to keep me down but just can’t!!!. So my main reason for posting is are there ANY members on her who Trade/Day Trade or even better scalp markets?

Glad to hear you are doing better. I pretty much stare at my td Ameritrade portfolio and my Robinhood portfolio about 8 to 10 hours a day. Lol I just started these accounts about a month and a half ago and have been doing really well. I am just messing around and learning more every day. Wells Fargo banks financial team handles my money and does amazing so it would be silly for me to take my money from the pros and try to do better but I love trying. I have put around 8k in these two personal accounts and gave my daughter 5k to invest. We are both up around 6%. Most are dividends but a few swing positions as well. My goal is to just clean out my garage and put some stuff on ebay etc. and add those funds to it and about 200 a week on top of that. There is a thread on here already that has been going for awhile with some good tips as well.

It's pretty hard to dabble in day trading unless it's a paper only account. As soon as you are identified as a "pattern day trader" the SEC will require you to keep a min balance of $25,000 in your account and will also have to be a margin account.

This is my buddy's company Ninja Trader he has a really good platform for serious traders and they are doing very well.
Just like anything Day trading can make money but you need to know what you are doing and everybody claims to be a expert but it can go bad really fast.Wink

I guess I'm more just dabbing into stocks in general. Through a few k into a Robinhood account and have been messing around on it. Really trying to learn about it before I get serious.

Thanks for the replies guys, I have actually traded live on & off for over a year & have made money. But of course constancy is the name of the game, & that’s where I’m struggling. I’m trading the foreign exchange (forex) markets & feel I have some decent chart strategies that I’ve found purely myself by just staring at the charts...it kind of reminds me of looking for good lines on the track lol

Anyway if anyone is a profitable trader on here I’ll share screen shots of my setups and see if anyone sees any tweaks that can make them better, 2 heads are better then one!

Wow that’s awesome! I’ve heard of ninja trader...I think I might have even opened an account but never funded it. How does your buddy do with this being the broker? Always been curious about that

With the market being manipulated and controlled by twitter now you are better off playing blackjack instead of day trading. The traditional market fundamentals do not and can not predict what the next tweet will say, which can spike the market up 500 or tank it down 500. It's a new era in the market.

Stay long or you will probably get slaughtered.

Being a broker is semi new for them, at first they were just the trading platform software that people paid a monthly fee and now they are a Broker too so its like being a bookie, they get paid per trade win or lose. Cool

I made a few grand this year doing 3 trades a week during the same day, or just waiting a few months on others like qcom. Then riding season hit and I stopped. Some sort of stock trading will probably be my "winter sport" of choice. Once all 3 kids are in school I'll be trading, or building my business more.
