I bought the Buddy Antunez RM250 in the top picture the day after he won his championship on it just the way it was. It was still muddy from the night before. All they wanted back was the shortened subframe and being 6' tall I was glad to swap that part out.
You still own that bike?

So many great RM's and memorable bikes. Great thread. My ground up 06 build is seeing steady use.

This was my favorite graphics kit that I've ever owned. So many great memories on that bike, plus Albee was one of my favorite riders.

I had one of those too. I definitely loved the bike and did quite well on it.

Had a trailer load of those when I was 15. My 2nd fav bike of all I ever rode/owned. The 89 RM 80 was an absolute screamer from bottom to top in stock form.....it could improve any kids ability to go fast. It was R&D's testament to Suzuki mini's during the 80's. Dean worked to develop that engine years before it went into production, and the end result is still being used today with a small displacement change on current RM 85's. In the right hands, that engine is still very capable, the top end never quits pulling. Perfect minicycle, topped off in 90 with a rear disc, I'd love to have one today.

That's correct, I converted my vintage RMZ to white....here's my old, heavy, worst-bike-shootout, outdated, slow, 4-speed pig from 2006 that still hangs with any new shiny 2020 bike, and RC could lap all of Vital on it:

Try getting the graphics kit. I did. Couldn't make it happen.

I know Clarke do white tanks. I have a natural/clear tank on my 125. But, I've been told the tank on that TP bike is alloy.

No it's painted. And I know where there's another that was for him, from that team

Chad Reed's 1999 RM250

Reedy was 16yo and winning in the open class on that bike, but man that shroud shape was ugly!
