Good for Tim.

Win or lose, fair play for having the balls to race outside of his comfort zone. He could've easily stayed home for the remainder of his career after the last MEC effort.

I'm sure there's plenty of pitchforks being sharpened in readiness to see him fail though.

He'll do much better this go-round.. His lap times were solid... Just one mistake. Heck K-Roc did the same thing..

I really admire Tim. Him & Herlings are keen to get out of their comfort zone and do something different. Not many are. TC222- Nope. ET3- Nope. KR94- Nope. I like seeing these guys do something different. Even once a year at Bercy would be nice. Just like the old days.

Roczen came from Germany to America?😂 And has had two years of injuries. I agree with the TC222 though, he does MXGP and the Italian series at the start of the year, kind of rubbish he doesn’t go out and let his fans see him ride more

I think he will ride a little more under control this time around. If he scores a top 10, it will be a win. But he's a multi-time MXGP champ and taking roost from the factory SX guys will be a hard pill to swallow. I think he will though, top 10 is my bet...

Cairoli races across the world.

He proudly steps up for Italy and represents them at the MXoN, starring defeat down the barrel each time.

Bar injury, he does 20+ races a season and has been doing it for 15+ years.

If his fans want to see him ride, they can or have!

There's nothing "kind of rubbish" about that!

Lol I was just trying to be an ass. Respect to Gajser for doing it, I hope he does well. I’m sure a lot of people will talk about his big crash in 2017 but the section he crashed in was quite stupid in my opinion. It was a wide open straight away back into the stadium straight into a tricky rhythm, guys with a lot more SX experience than Gajser we’re having trouble with it.

He’s progressed a lot since the last time he raced MEC. Maybe not in terms of speed, but he seems to have matured a lot. He had a few offs early in the season, but since Valkenswaard I don’t really remember him crashing too much. I’m excited to see how he gets on. His speed last time was more than respectable

If the MEC were a European event and Tomac went to race it, you can bet your ass he'd have plenty of pitchforks waiting on him. For every pitchfork that awaits Tim Gajser at the MEC, there will be 100 people who are just happy to have the MXGP champion in this mix, and who admire him for having the balls to risk failing. Gajser will get treated like royalty. Especially if he battles hell bent and makes it more exciting. If he were to win it, he'd be cheered and congratulated. Only a very tiny fraction of fans here would be dicks towards him, if any at all. I've been to ama supercross/motocross races. I've seen how the European and other foreign racers are treated, even if they win. The "pitchforks" stuff is 99.9% b.s

Your right. It’s ironic because people get upset when Herlings won’t race a Sx event and here is the current world champion coming.. I think it’s huge actually. he will hauling ass and I wouldn’t be suprised to see him run top 5 , either way it will be epic to watch
