It is soft though. I'm 160lbs and I just ordered 5.2 fork springs I keep bottoming and I'm 4-5 stiffer compression with 330cc oil. It felt good first 10 hours then I guess it's freed up. I've been super uncomfortable coming into turns.

Yeah I saw that as well. I do think I can only do so much without a Re valve. My corner speed is half at least atm just don't trust the front coming in hot.

This is a screenshot from a video of me on a big takeoff. Needless to say it's soft lol. I was trying a 5.2 rear spring though.

Picked up a 19 new last week, done about 4hours on it. Really happy with it coming from a 19 350sxf with cone valves. Obviously im still running stock suspension and havent had it revalved. Has anyone had trouble with the front end pushing/knifing in more sandy turns especially with a hard base underneath? Im running 105 sag and forks 2mm up. 170lb rider but i need to go up a spring rate. Forks are definitely to soft. Hopefully a revalve fixes it.

Do you like the kx better than the 350 you had? I’d love to hear a comparison if you have one. I sold a 350 last year and have been debating getting another one but these kx’s Have a lot of good qualities and the price is better for sure.

First try I cased it hard and sprained my ankles.. Still a little sore and it's been 3 weeks lol. Main reason is my tech 10s are falling apart. Other picture is someone else but same jump. Silver Valley Mx in NC sick track.

For those who have taken your holeshot button off, what kind of rubber cap did you use to cover the connector and where did you buy it?

I haven't taken mine off, but it should be a Sumitomo MT90 connector. cycleterminal.com sells them. If you buy a connection, terminals, and plugs then you can make a nice cap that is watertight, similar to how the DFI couplers look.

Curious if anyone has ever had an issue with the bike making a high pitched squealing sound, think it was coming from the back of the bike. My filter was pretty shitted up from the sand track I was at. Thinking it could have had trouble breathing. Stock air filter and cage. Only 4 hrs on the bike. Anyone else have anything like this?

There’s 2 noises we have talked about. I don’t blame you for not wanting to go through the whole thread. But if u just got a 19 it’s worth it. The clutch rod makes noise and you need to run a little more oil in the crank case. And one of the chain rollers makes noise. But I believe the chain roller was a aftermarket one. And we have all the torque specs in one picture a few pages back

Johnny is right it's most likely the common clutch noise. I haven't had the issue, though I always fill it almost to the top of the window (after following the standard procedure), which is pretty consistently 50-100cc above what the manual says to add, both with and without a new filter.

There is also a mod to file the ends flat on the pushrod that I've heard about for this bike and previous years (this is my first Kawi, so I haven't done it). Hopefully adding more oil works for you though.

Don’t forget to add moly grease to the end of the shaft away from the clutch per the manual, that helps with squeal with the 100cc extra oil!

Only got 4 hours on it and my last 3 bikes have been euros 450s and 350s. To be honest the kx feels alot lighter on the track and turns better then my 19 350. I have noticed that the ktm/huskys have better connectivity to the rear wheel. but im still running stock suspension on the Kawasaki. I personally think that ktm is better made and easier to work on but i was expecting that. Theres quite a big price difference.

I used the rubber wash cap for the gas lines that come with KTM's. just stretched it over, and put a strip of electrical tape around the bottom. can't even notice it.

ok, im looking for a skidplate with intergrated linkage guard to my 2018 kxf450 but i can only find it for 2019 so theoretically the 2019 should fit.

64hp is a very high figure. Is your engine modified? Mine has a Procicuit stainless exhaust and a No Toil fast flow air filter. Tokyo Mods re-programed the ECU. It picked up a lot of power all through the range. I'm curious as to how much horse power it puts out now.

Yes I have PC piston, ported head, twin air powerflow, pc ti-6, vortex, t4 fuel and rekluse torq drive to put it down. Yeah seems high I'll have to check the butt dyno next ride 😂

It was running super lean and was harder to start then it should be. Basically ever since I rebuilt it. Also the tps was slightly off.
