I personally hate the a.i... if theyre going to be fast atleast make the ride correct and not try to take you out every fucking turn

This video includes all the things I consider before hammering the throttle. #1 is probably the most important, let the bike settle down before hammering it, especially in ruts!

That's why all I do is time trial mode. I can kill the AI on all time but if I get a bad start they will intentionally drive straight off the track to take you out. They don't run their own race. They're out there to take you out.

to whoever was talking about the camera settings. you are correct...the FPV cam settings you set are not saved from event to event. this hasn’t always been the case so i’m sure they will fix it

Yep I checked again last night to be sure it just wasn’t me goofing up and they are not saving from one event to another.

They need to do something with the frame rate. I’ve noticed it’s really bad around Spring Creek. Almost unplayable bad.

I love the replica tracks. I rate Spring Creek as best console replica, ever. And heck, on the AMA Pro Nationals replicas, I even prefer the physics and game play to MESX2. Not so much on rest of game. But these new replica tracks are just far superior. However, the game is still one dimensional, for me.

I'm not super fast. I try to ride realistically. I also don't play online. On medium I win but not all the time but again I am riding realistically.which is def not the fastest you can go. On Hard, the AI is fast and I find I have to ride unrealistically to keep up.

On hard the AI seems to be unrealistically fast as well. Between that and the recklessness of the AI and lack of a true points series that makes sense it just makes it a trial run or exhibition race game. The game is fast enough without always amping up game speed.

It's a shame because the game play and new replica tracks are awesome especially for a simcade experience.

Rainbow really needs to work on AI intelligence not just speed and a good single player season mode to complement all this other great stuff they've done.

But man, they did a great job on the replicas. The single player stuff shouldn't be that hard to address for next game.

I have had the Game for a long time but didn’t play it much till the last week. I did a 10 lap race tonight at Washougal on hard AI and got a holeshot then got passed by three bikes going up horsepower hill, When I went to make passes back I got pushed right off the track on the next hill. Got back on track in 16th and worked up to 7th place with three laps to go and going up horsepower hill again I could feel the back of the back being pushed sideways and off the track I went again. 16th place restart and ended up 15th. Numerous other takeouts along the way.

Tbh i couldnt really get into this game. Got it last year with release and probably wont get much hours in.
But i got the new tracks now and i have to say WOW, they did a damn good job. scaling is amazing, design is perfect, really fun to play those tracks. I might need some tuning help or something. :D

Camera settings are not saving and controller settings are not saving. I thought it was just me, so thanks for verifying.

That is absolutely flying. I'm struggling to beat my 2:26 Blink
I ran the realistic tune and I felt the power was too low for me. I was struggling to get over certain jumps on a 450.
Random question but is there a race setting to select the time of day or weather? I ran 2 motos at washougal back to back and my second looked to be at like 7 am and clammy and cloudy. Can we customize that or does it do a random select?

Can anyone with access to the leaderboards tell me roughly how my times are? My live subscription ran out and I don't play video games enough anymore to justify dropping $50 for another year. When the game first came out I had some top 20 times for a bit but haven't played much since. Trying to get used to the latest physics and chassis tuning a bit still, the game feels completely different than launch for sure.

Red Bud - 1:39
Millville - 2:01
Washougal - 2:04
Lorettas - 1:34

My hot lap on Washougal is 2:03 and I can run pretty consistently in that 2:05 range. It's honestly all about setup, been fidgeting with it a lot! I'm on PS4

I TOTALLY agree! Until the game developers fix this HUGE flaw, it will suffer on sales. Since the move to the, "Unreal Engine", this game has taken steps backwards. I do not know what engine was used for, "reflex" or "alive", but it was SO CLOSE TO PERFECT! If I am incorrect and they have always developed on the, "Unreal Engine"...then what the heck happened to the physics? Just my 2 cents.....:-)

Christ how are you so fast --- your about 15-20 then me every track

I bought it a while back, stuck a few hrs in and hated it. Fired it up again recently for the newly released AMA National tracks and have really started to enjoy it this time. As a Motocross game I think it's great. The AI on hard is just about perfect for my current skill level, and any win I get feels well earned.

Negatives: The AI is fast but as above almost suicidal in its desire to take you out... It's actually pretty ridiculous how helpless you are in this regard. Staying the hell away from them is key because you'll almost never win upon any direct contact.

Lastly, I think the new replica AMA tracks are absolutely phenomenal, perhaps the best Iv'e ever played.

Switching controls to a manual gearbox made a huge difference for me. I spend most my time in 4th and 5th. I'm not as fast as that ^ either but about 5 seconds off round Red Bud for what it's worth.

As Motocross83 said above, manual gearbox is a must as it's much easier to carry momentum. I'd try messing with settings by putting the chassis/engine/sprocket both all the way to the left and all the way to the right to see how much each affects the bike, and see what works best and go from there. However, if you're going for pure speed & lap times, the general consensus is your engine should be to the right, and your chassis to the left.

The skill gap in this game is crazy, because some people see my times and wonder how I'm going so fast... then I go on YouTube and see people with 8 seconds a lap on me. Brings me back to the Reflex days, there's always room for improvement which gives the game longevity. Definitely the most fun I've had playing an MX game since then, other than Mx Sim

I was in awe of those 2:09s for a long time. Forgot I was on the 125. Dropped from a 2:24 to a 2:12 instantly lol

Top of the leader board at washougal is low 1:50's I don't know how they're saving so much time. I'm in 62nd with a 2:07 right now.
