Ya, amazing. Suddenly buying a new shock from aftermarket not so daunting at those prices. I still favor tuning the stocker, just to see how good it can get.

Have you got a good setting for the BFRC. I agree with you I think there’s potential there and the jump to instantly swap it out is a bit haste. But I’m an idiot cause I really liked my TAC fork when I had it too so there’s that....

Fortunately for me, I live 10 min from JGR and those guys rock. Last time I pulled in there in my Tacoma, Lee McCollom walks up to my window as I backed in to a parking space and asked about my truck. Then I got out and we just started shooting the shit. We walked in and went in to the shop where I was standing a foot away from Reeds bike and his mechanic going to town on it. (Right before Daytona)

I bet we talked for 2 hours. He took me in to the back room and showed me all kinds of cool bikes. 2 of Buddy Antunez’s bikes were back there from 2002-2003 Arenacross.

Anyway, I have a 2018 AND 2019 RMZ-450. The 18 is a practice bike and the 19 is my race bike. Lee asked me about the rear shock. I told him I was having a time with it and he told me to bring them up there. Jonny Oler their suspension guy fixed them up and my suspension is awesome. They revalve’s both the front forks as well. Awesome awesome guys up there. I love it.

I have been testing. We are getting on with a few mods. I have a really good rider ill be testing with. Its a pressure balancing act. Several have described the handling issues. When they play with the adjusters. Too stiff then too soft on big hits. I personally like tac forks, and i have had good feedback on the mods.

A crap ton of titanium pieces.If their setup is so easy to replicate, why didn't they have backup bikes in SX?

No team has a back up bike for SX. Are you new or something? There isn’t a top rider that hasn’t gone down in a heat race or something where it’s stated “The mechanics will get the bike rebuilt in time for the LCQ or the main. Doesn’t matter who it is. Tomac, Webb, Musquin and all the like have ONE race bike. Even their practice bikes are nowhere near the level of their race bikes.

My opinion is “pick your favorite color and buy that bike” but it Doesn’t help Suzuki to have A Mart saying “we finally got it going fast”
I’m sure he doesn’t realize the implications of that comment to the consumer, subtle but telling in the back of the mind of the consumer!

Wrong! They just talked about this on Whiskey Throttle. WAY to expensive. They would have to change out the motor every 3 hours and their mechanics don’t live with them. They have a practice mechanic is not on the level of a factory mechanic. Watch the Dean Wilson or Mike Loracco episode as it’s discussed in both.

Its not about how good the bike is or is not. Its about Suzuki's numbers. The only ones I can see are the US numbers and they are not good. The scary thing is that they continue to decline. Worldwide they may have better numbers but in the US its not going to be long until Indian catches them in US market share. They already have have in street sales. Their financials seem fine so other parts of their business are doing well but dirt bike sales are pretty shocking.

Suspension is a lot different than a motor package and tricked out titanium nuts and bolts, carbon fiber here and there.... etc The suspension is good that they practice on, but it’s not race suspension. Their race bikes are a dialed in HIGH dollar work of art. Most riders live and train in Florida now. All the Factory’s aside from JGR are in Cali. All the bling you see at the races is protected high tech stuff that the factories do not want people getting their hands on. It is stuff that stays with the factory and factory techs. Practice mechanics aren’t Factory techs. They aren’t allowed to work on the Factory race bikes. Most of this is due to theft and tech getting out. Across the nation is not what the factory teams call protected. A race motor is rebuilt after every round. If all the teams were supplying identical practice bikes, they would all go under. That is an insane amount of coin to have to fork out year in and year out.

New bike. Takes a while to catch up to the other factory 250s. It doesn’t say anything about the stock bikes. And to your point, the Honda has been out a year longer and they openly talk about still being down on power compared to the Yamaha and Kawasaki team bikes.

We've got over a week on the new RMZ 250 and one race on it and I will tell you in a mixed class with 450's my son came out in second on the start and didn't miss the hole shot by much honestly! There is NOTHING wrong with Suzuki's as far as the bikes go they feel light and of course they turn like no other. We did change the coupler to the lean one (white) but other than that we have just tweaked on the suspension and have zero complaints!

Excellent bike you have. I had a '97 and loved it. Raced it for years and years and never had an issue with it.
