Why doesn’t Red Bull KTM participate in changing graphics like other teams?

Red Bull KTM does not participate in the military appreciation night in San Diego SX, or retro nights, etc. I think they are the only factory team not doing anything for Independence Day, what gives?

They also used to run different looks. Whether it was AMA MX/SX, MXGP, Factory Enduro. But now all is pretty much the same.

And they did military graphics for San Diego SX. It was just a somewhat-subdued digital camo motif, that might not have popped on TV.

Looks like I had it wrong! I like when the teams do unique stuff, like Anderson’s MXdN bike in 2016 (and pretty much everyone for that race). I guess Red Bull KTM just doesn’t go all-out like other teams, but I thought they didn’t do anything. Thanks for that, Dirty Points.

I also think that with such small amount of marketing "real estate" on the KTMs plastic, once Red Bull gets their spot and KTM obviously wanting some orange, there just is not much space left that you can mess with and have it look good.

The design concept seems to be to integrate the race theme into the Redbull KTM motif and styling cues.

Someone made the same thread for SD SX and pics were promptly posted showing that the team in fact did have camo on the bikes. Seems like people are looking for something to get upset over?? Definitely snowflake behavior.

I’ve heard all special graphics need to be approved by corporate in Austria. This limits how much the team can get away with. Keep in mind that all the sponsors also pay money for their positioning and there are multiple contracts in place to assure that everyone’s interests are protected.

This topic comes up every now and then. Look at the MXdN, they are the bikes with the least amount of changes to the looks of all the bikes.

This has probably something to do with Red Bull. It seems like the Husqvarna teams with Rockstar are more willing to make changes for these kind of races.
