We work in a pretty good size place, and I average about 7.5 miles a day according to a pedometer.

One shift in those shoes, and he was nearly crippled. I was laughing my ass off watching him try to walk.

This isn't a slam on Sketcher, it's laughing at an out of shape guy trying something for the first time with no fallback.

I can't last half a shift in anything but boots on concrete.

He recommended that I go to a decent shoe store, get my stride evaluated, etc. I went to a "chain store", but they really hit a home run the last 3 times that they've put shoes on me. They've recommended different ECCO brand shoes, but every single one has been like magic to wear. Spendy (~$200/pair) but after a long day they are worth every cent and they actually wear like iron. For boots, I only need the hiker style as long as they are waterproof and I've had great experiences with Keen but everyone's experience will be different.

The one thing I would recommend is that anyone who is on their feet for most of the day should visit a real decent shoe store that can measure your pressure points when you walk. I wish I had done it long before I did.

I have a pair of Sketchers and three pairs of dress shoes but you are lucky if I put a shirt on except for golf in a month.

But it really did make a huge difference, 0 issues with my feet since I bought them. And quality is outstanding.

As far as the Nike subject, them pulling the shoes was a stupid decision. So now everything that happened before the civil war is a symbol of racism? And who the F does that unemployed narcissist think he is to be the moral compass for the rest of the USA?

Arizona Governor Ducey stood his ground and pulled incentives from Nike for a plant they are building in Goodyear AZ. The plant will probably still get built (most of the incentives came from the City, not the State) but at least he made a point.

The history of this Country is what made it great. The good and the bad. But you can't just try to erase the parts that were bad, because someone may get "offended" about history.
