250 under performers:

McAdoo - 25
Davalos - 21
Hampshire - 20

I suspect hey will all finish better than they qualified.

I agree. I think Matthes has his moments where he goes into extreme mode but any time I listen to Cooksey on a podcast (Main Event, Moto 60 yesterday etc) he's really trying to go big with his hot takes. It's hard to take a guy seriously when he goes like that every time.

McAdoo scares me a bit. Allegedly he passed out at the end of Moto 1 last week. That kind of heatstroke doesn't recover in 6 days. If it gets humid today he's in trouble.

The only real underperformer in 450 is Plessinger. Seems he isn't quite ready to be back at the races. Hope he has a better day than it has gone so far...

Will be interesting to see if they pick Marv this year instead of Febvre or Paulin.
They didn’t pick him when he won Red Bud. I’m sure the relationship of Marv and France is over. But France dosent need it’s best rider to win the MxDN, they win anyways.

Who can tell me about Conor Sheridan? Anyone local think he can put it in the top 20 today? Looks like his first National from my research.

Marv would kill it at Assen. Ooooh its deep sand . It's a man made track at a race facility . I think he would thrive there.

Yeah you'Re probably right.
It might look differently if Paulin or Febvre get injured (like Febvre did last year).
But 34, 21 and 461 is a pretty darn good team, even without the 25

That is true . It's difficult to argue with their recent success.

Febvre always always rises to the occasion and Paulin is hot and cold but he’s never that off. Plus Dylan is riding great right now. Tough team to beat even with IMO there best rider by a decent margin off of the team.

maybe , but last time Marvin raced a proper sandtrack was 2012
Febvre and Paulin race Lommel and Assen every year .. train in Lommel
in order to improve on a track you have to race it , i mean Southwick is no Lommel and no Assen ... even Lommel and Assen are not much a like

maybe Marvin is faster at Assen , hard to tell but as a teammanager who needs to choose between the 3 i see reasons to pick Febvre and Paulin

Hi ! It is true that team France should be solid again this year, but in the sand Holland is heavy favorite, and there are many teams as solid as the french one like the US, Belgium, Switzerland and Italy who can all win with the right circumstances (a good grid on saturday, 3 great starts in quali, 6 great starts on sunday, plus keeping it on 2 wheels while there will be as usual a ton of crazy stuffs happening on the track). It should be a great event again !

Bet prime RC would lap him though. Musquin was what, like 11 when RC was retiring.? Cant have improved that much since then.

Bet a prime Hannah would lap them twice after he stopped half way through the race for breakfast. Stop living in the past...

Baker doesn't want his riders racing mxon also.

To me, that makes him bad forfor our sport!

I saw Hannah race at Southwick once; he lapped everybody so many times that none of them completed the minimum amount of laps to consider their race "completed".

He did one lap so fast that the earth turned backwards, and all time reversed; like that superman movie where he saved Lois Lane. By "he", I mean "Hannah"... but that's another story for another time.

I would have agreed after Redbud. But now Coldenhoff is just getting back up to his form last year and both Herlings and Vlaanderen are out injured. But man it would be awesome to see them win it at home.

I saw Hannah race at SandyOaks in western Illinois in 1977. In fact he did lap everyone. Everyone except Weinert. Quite a race.
