Either way...i wish Fast Freddie all the best, he sure deserves it.

Sx results probably keep hrc away for a full contract
A full contract is probably a little far fetched. I was hoping for a fill-in for Cole for the remainder of the year at least.
Hrc waited to long , jgr snagged him.

my theory.. they will over ride him this week testing and he will not fully recover from his massive stud performance (racer and mechanic) at Florida, have some bad results. Then this thread on saturday afternoon will be filled with such negative comments about him.

Somewhere on one of Matthes' most recent podcasts they discussed Noren to HRC to replace Seely and there was speculation it would not happen. Even though Freddie filled in before, that was in the Dan Betley era of HRC and Matthes' said it was largley Betley who was responsible for getting Freddy on the team. At that time he was doing some testing for Honda and Showa as well, which probably made it easy to slot him in. Plus they do have Roczen and Tomita under the awning. It might be a bit different deal, but Tomita is for all intents and purposes a HRC rider.

This is true shxx right here^^^^^^.... I hope Freddie has good results. This will be such negative press for both JGR and Suzuki. With being on the bike for only one week, this is something out of both parties control.
This may be Weege and Langston’s “Key to the Race”..... Keep An Eye On Noren!!!

4 pages for a guy that will finish 7-13th no matter what he is riding. LOL

Good luck to fast Freddy and nice that he gets paid to race the last 7 races.

Crazy they count tomita as a rider of the american hrc squad. I understand hes hrc in japan and all but the dude is barely scoring points and taking away a factory spot, not only from Noren but also anyone else ”more deserving.”

I think the point is that for the average fan walking around the pits Tomita is no different than Seely. Same bike, same truck. And he's not taking away a spot. If Tomita isn't there, that bike isn't there.

People always tend to forget that moto is 90% rider 10% bike. And trust me JGR’s 450 is no slouch. Probably easier to transition from a Honda to suzuki than from a ktm/husky. Hard to say what he can do at the wick 338 after only 2 or 3 days riding the bike but if Freddie can put a stock Honda inside the top ten he’s going to have some Hero rides on his JGR battleship. After wick338 he’s got a week off and he can test and get the bike working for him. I noticed a lot more yellow at WW after JGR started selling those kits.

For all the JGR/ Suzuki naysayers read this weeks Racerhead at RacerX,
Weigandt- "Also, when testing the bike, the team told Noren to bring one of his Hondas so he could take lap times. If he still liked the Honda better or wanted more time on the Suzuki, they would have given him another week or two to test. But Fredrik liked the bike immediately, and his lap times were better."
How many teams would let a rider do that? Pretty cool of JGR I reckon.

Norén has been riding Suzuki many times before. This was back in 2013...

If I remember right...he also spent fare amount of time on yellow back home in Sweden in his younger years.

And as Chad Reed has mentioned many times...Suzuki tend to keep their “feeling” with chassi. You can jump on one with blindfolded eyes and earpluggs and imeditly feel it is a Suzuki

I know, not a JGR bike... Roczen’s 2016 Zook
Anyway, the ”pig” may still do the job!
Good luck Freddie!!

He did. I remember him riding Suzuki in Svemo Cup during his 85 years but I think later on the 250 aswell

I think its great they are giving Freddie a chance on the JGR bike. JGR has now lost their riders they planned to use this year with Peick and Hill out. No matter what you think of Hill or Peick they were their choice of riders and both are out. Giving Freddie a chance on the bike is only positive in all aspects for everyone. I hope they pick up Jace Owen next year and give him a chance on a factory bike. People who complain about JGR and Suzuki and almost want them to fail are just showing how lame some of the moto family can be. I hope the best for all the riders and teams I have my favorite riders and teams as well yet never wish bad things on others no matter what the reason.
If we want to attract outside sponsors for what ever team then we need to be positive about supporting our own sport we claim to love. What would you think about the sport if you were an outside sponsor reading the posts tearing down everything anyone can. I agree with Langham by saying Why post those kinds of things?
Have we become so self righteous we can just cast out judgement and say crap and focus on the bad every team is had?
If JGR and suzuki would nail down a rider like Tomac and win it would be they paid for a championship and the bikes still suck. I dont get it ride what you want thats the freedom our sport once was about.
Good luck JGR, Suzuki and freddie hope all goes well.

Just out of curiosity, what are the rest of Norens results this year? Too lazy to look them up.

Who woulda thunk...a privateer being way better bang for JGR's buck than a certain 2017 250W SX champ. Noren up there battling the same dudes who were making a regular habit of lapping Hill - with less than a week on the bike! Seriously stoked on Fast Freddie! Woohoo

I wonder what Jr. Hill thinks about Noren's great ride today, assuming he watched the races...or is even awake yet. Tongue

I think it was a great result for both: JGR needed this good result to confirm their bike is good, and Noren needed this to confirm that, with better support he is a top ten rider consistently. I can only imagine how happy is everyone this afternoon at this team. Well deserved for all involved parties!

Lol speaking of "famous fathers".... if Hill's dad was so offended by Weston Peick's opinion, did watching a privateer embarrass Justin on his own bike/team get the point across any better, that maybe something major needs to change in the Hill camp?
