Why are they bad ass? What offset is he running? What would be improved on my bike if I spent $1000.00 and bolted XTRIG triple clamps on it? Would it just look cooler? Would the bike handle better. How would the handling be improved? No one has been able to answer that.

I like cool parts as well. I have titanium foot pegs, because they are bigger and gripper than stock. Some guys would buy them because of the color. I understand the customization of a bike or a car. I spent money on graphics and a seat cover that serve no purpose other than looks. But before I spend $400.00 for some engine mounts I would like to hear some average guys opinions of how they improved the handling and if its worth the money. Some pro telling me that they're great for me isn't enough. The same with other components. If someone enjoys building a bike and sitting in the garage looking at it that's great as well. The guys on here that restore the old bikes are great. I look at every one of them.
Agree on all points,. Sick bike. Btw.

I’m an average joe and not a pro at all.... I’m a Vet Intermediate/expert. Works Chassis Lab hangers worked for me. Read my review on the previous page 🤷🏻‍♂️

I have a similar opinion of a lot of the parts people change on these bikes like XTRIG Triple clamps, Ride Engineering triple clamps and rear linkage and FCP engine mounts.

Pro Circuit and Factory Connection do not change the triple clamp offset or linkages on the 2019.

Ride Engineering does, but they only make triple clamps and linkages to sell, they are not suspension experts.

On my 2016 KX450F the Pro Circuit linkage made a significant improvement in the comfort, tracking and steering. On my 2006 through 2012 RMZ450s the RG3 20mm offset triple clamps and rear linkage assembly made a huge difference.

I have to really wonder if people are putting parts on their bikes because the parts are anodized bright colors or because ET3 has red triple clamps on his bike.

Other than one person, I haven't been able to get an answer as to specifically what improvements the triple clamps, linkages and mounts have provided.

I’ve got ride engineering clamps on mine. Stock pipe. I was the one who originally made the joke about the pipe. For starters, a straight header on this bike (PC, FMF non SX style) by design isn’t going to produce more down low than the stock header. There’s a reason it’s designed the way it is, and Kawi clearly spent a lot of money on the mud pipe design as well. I for one think my 19 is too fast and have some pulled out of down low (+1 on jballz mud map) which I use all the time. I plan to pull even more out. Locally win +25B and an average 4-5th place 450B guy who has to go to work on Monday.

To the clamps - yes, you will notice a difference. I never toyed with clamps, until I used a set of 21.5 clamps on my 16 as they came with some kit spring forks I used to get rid of the air forks. I rode my 2019 stock and then swapped on the ride clamps. The bike turns in a lot sharper and is much more similar to the cornering capability of my Yz250 2 stroke where you can dive inside of stuff. I feel like it’s a good compromise because I haven’t felt a loss of high speed stability.

The link? Never tried it. However a good friend who is very in tune with his settings tried it, and did not care for it. It made one thing better and 3 things worse. You should really work on suspension settings before playing with geometry on the bike in any case.

I am so happy with the bike now that the forks are dialed in (52nm springs, 390ml oil, comp. +2, i weigh around 165 pounds).

Also since the 2020 did not get any important updates the 19's should hold good value.

Maybe (mnomis484) is currently riding the outdoor national circuit. Seems you would need to be that speed for his settings to work at 165lbsWhistling
Pretty much my setup for the forks , they are really good

4 positions to set your bars at. I would say that if you can't find a comfortable position, it's your bar bend.

I installed the Xtrig 1 1/8 PHDS mounts with Pro Taper Fusion bars SX bend. Very comfy!

I was kind of thinking that as well. Feels like just a tiny bit taller or slightly more forward is where i need to be.

I installed the keefer clutch mod this past weekend and the bike's clutch is so much better. Michael Lindsay also has a youtube video about this clutch mod. Bonus picture of the Gucci Sticker Smile

I'd love to know what you thought the mod made it better. I actually bought the plate to replace the spring early on, but after more time on the bike, I haven't bothered with it yet because I don't have any complaints about how the clutch works.

I personally didn’t like it better so leave it IMO

I've heard of a clutch mod to address a whining noise from the clutch. I believe it includes grinding down the push rod a little. Anyone try this?

Trust me on this hot setup....get the Rekluse Torq-drive clutch pack. Best mod bang for the buck.

The upper hanger mounting bolt stripped through the hanger. I set the torque wrench to 22 ft-lbs and it stripped the hanger before hitting 22 ft-lbs. I have a decent torque wrench but may have been a bit cavalier with my process. Regardless....if you go over 22 ft-lbs by a little....it may strip.

Did the bolt strip/break or did the threads in the hanger itself strip?

I am installing my WCL hangers tonight, so I'll have to be extra mindful about not over-torquing it.
