DeCal Works Huge Plastic Inventory of UFO and Polisport kits.
Definitely no pro but had some bottoming problems before, fork is still relatively plush in the upper part of the stroke and soaks up braking bumps very well but stiffness ramps up very quick in the last third.
Just wanted to throw out my setup, it might be helpful for some. Definitely does not work for everyone, i am happy with it.
I never had an issue with the 50t rear before but after I put the 51t on, I noticed it was snappier down low. I liked this for cornering a lot better.
Also it allowed me to run 3rd more in corners and click 4th on faster sections.
With stock gearing I felt like I would run 2nd and 3rd and then I’d be needing to click 4th right before a corner. South florida sand tracks, definitely prefer the 51 over the 50.
i think it's kind of funny that we think we can feel the change in different engine hangers. Come on guys. Most of us can't re-create the same turn/ jump/ braking situation consistently enough to see a difference.
Sorry about all that ^^^^^^^^^^^^
I buy useless stuff all the time for my bike.
Pit Row
sounds sweet too
I have a similar opinion of a lot of the parts people change on these bikes like XTRIG Triple clamps, Ride Engineering triple clamps and rear linkage and FCP engine mounts.
Pro Circuit and Factory Connection do not change the triple clamp offset or linkages on the 2019.
Ride Engineering does, but they only make triple clamps and linkages to sell, they are not suspension experts.
On my 2016 KX450F the Pro Circuit linkage made a significant improvement in the comfort, tracking and steering. On my 2006 through 2012 RMZ450s the RG3 20mm offset triple clamps and rear linkage assembly made a huge difference.
I have to really wonder if people are putting parts on their bikes because the parts are anodized bright colors or because ET3 has red triple clamps on his bike.
Other than one person, I haven't been able to get an answer as to specifically what improvements the triple clamps, linkages and mounts have provided.
I've purposely not done that with this KX450, and with my schedule being what it's been lately (have only been able to race and almost no practice days at all in the last 3 months), I have parts sitting on my bench to install and try out one at a time. And another one just showed up today, the WCL engine hanger/bracket set.
I have avoided throwing stuff on and going racing because I know damn well I'm not going to pay any attention to how the bike has changed when it's a race weekend. Only going to be focused on the track during practice sessions, and of course during a motos it's just a blur.
