Axell’s shooting for Robbie Maddison’s distance record that was set back in 2011. Between this and almost doinkin’ his noggin on the rafters at that freestyle show a couple weeks back, you gotta give this kid some props. Should definitely make for a more exciting show than last year’s with Pastrana.

I hope they factored in wind resistance on his big ol' balls when they ran the speed calculations. He may not race, but I don't see any reason to not like the kid.

Would be embarrassing to jump anything less than 400 feet imo. With the technology of bikes this day there should be no reason to jump anything less.

Even if Alex Harvill's jump didn't count, why would you want to set a record at anything less than what some already jumped.

Wish I could get someone to set up a distance jump for me. I'd be all about it. XCW tranny in a 450 with 70 hp. Sign me uppppppp!!

This dude is missing some synapses from the fear center of his brain. I look at some of the stuff he does sometimes and my jaw just drops. Especially after the incident where he almost hit the beam: if that were me, I'd probably feel like I had used up all my luck and decide to hang it up. I'd be scared shitless.

But I guess that's what separates pussies like me from guys that do incredible things with a dirtbike. I'll gladly sit by and watching from the sidelines for shit like this.

Really hope it goes well for him. Jumping that far is playing with fire and doesn’t seem worth it to me. All it takes is one little thing to go wrong and there’s no walking away. I’ll be watching regardless.
