Either RJ, MC or FRO. You can’t deny fro had it going on back then, who else had a tour bus?

RJ was just RJ

And MC Was the more family friendly cool guy imo

I won't disagree but I guess it depends on your personal definition of "cool". I don't think he was alone when he pulled some of his antics. I'm pretty sure Jammin' Jimmy abused more rental cars than Jlaw ever did.Woohoo

MC Fro and RJ for sure. The guys that looked homeless hackin darts, not cool. TP wicked guy and everything but a total dork. KDub is a beauty but I don't think he can match the "cool" factor of the aforementioned.

Bad Brad brought moto cool to the communist region back in the day. He is a 'moto ambassador', there are some cool pics of him at that time, hopefully someone can post them. They must have been shocked, ha ha!

I think we can agree that "cool" is pretty subjective. I think we can mostly agree that Steve McQueen is at the top of a lot of lists but WHO did Steve consider cool? I think Malcolm Smith probably topped his list. I haven't heard any updates since Malcolm's accident but hope he is recovering well.

Someone smarter than me needs to set some nominal guidelines for the definition of cool. Can't just be skills, looks, gear, attitude, records. That elusive combination that makes a rider loved by fans, teammates, competitors, media...the whole package. The Vital homework assignment...and it's due NOW.

That's what I'm saying brother...dominating or being the fastest mofo does not equal cool. If that was the case then Ricky and Everts would be top of the lists. We are talking cool...not badass or winningest.

This is why I asked for a definition of "cool". You may think fastest is "cool". I think being loved by fans and respected by your rivals is the proper definition. Ain't no wrong answer until the rules have been established.

Ron Lechien had the coolest riding style I have ever seen. Smooth and effortless. Combine that with some of the coolest JT gear ever, while riding a works rotary valved YZ 125 in 83, and than works Honda's in 84 and 85, was about as cool as it gets.

Vital is funny..
Same dudes that give praise to a guy pulling over for a beer, or guys that got wild with girls on the podium hate on JLaw for doing the same shit?
