Pre #1. Ridden and/or raced 1968 to present only missing 1979 to 1987(high school, girls, and college student budget) but I still payed attention to the mags and went to a few Hangtowns during that era.

I remember looking at dirt bikes in the dealers when I was 11 and thinking wow I want to do that. Of course parents said NO. lol.

Started looking at the magazines in 86 (high school) & bought my first bike not long after. Went to my first SX in 87 at the Omni.. Went again in 1990 / 91... the wild race where almost a dozen people led at once.. wardy won it if I remember. It was freezing cold that night.

I remember as a kid I watched the Wide World of Sports races with DeCoster, Wolsink, Mikkola, and the US hopeful Brad Lackey. Kind of got away from moto until I started dating a Villopoto in the early 80's. My future sister-in-law was married to Pat Richter of
MotoX Fox fame and I was totally back into moto. Named our son Broc after Glover and
has been part of my life ever since. So before 1 and 3-7.

Prior to 1('71) thru 7.

Dave said it; eat, sleep, breathe.....everything moto.

I bought and read every dirt bike mag and CN when I started reading 'em; wore out the cover page off staples and sometimes a few more pages came off if it had a Bultaco test....way wore out..

My first moto memory was watching the Carlsbad race on ABC's Wide World of sports.
And I ran my first moto on a 72 Penton 125....burnt the shit out of my thigh on that pipe.

Hard to say, my first race was in 1977.

But I was into MX way before that, as Rich Eierstadt lived in the same neighborhood as myself and Jeff Jennings and I had mutual friends.

I'm as big a fan today as I was back then and also still racing..........

I’m a ".5 " I guess. Arnie Kring, Bengt Aberg, Bill Silverthorn, Bob Grossi and Gary Bailey. Brad Lackey was riding a CZ with a dove on his handlebars.

I stopped following it around #3 and came back around #6.

I'm a "0", I would guess.

I already had a 1970 Husqvarna Cross (then a 400Cross in 9th grade) in 8th grade at Sutter Jr. High in Canoga Park, CA. This was after my first "real" dirt bike a 69' Bultaco Lobito from Steve's Bultaco in Van Nuys, CA. Was working at Tracy's Husqvarna in the summer of 72'. Went to the first Superbowl of Motocross at the LA Coliseum with my neighbor Don Buol. That's actually me at Indian Dunes on a 74' CZ 400 in my avatar.
