About that 125 Homoligation Rule....

This doesn't look to be less than 3 years old (Since KTM still makes 2 strokes)

LOL what cracks me up is it looks like this guy hopped off the trails of the OHV park that surrounds hangtown and somehow made it past all security to get to the starting gate. He probably just said Japan4 and went right to the starting line.

Really? Can't believe I missed that one.

Is it possible that was from Amateur day or was that dude legit riding the 125 All Star race?

He was their Racing the All-Star class. He came out Friday for the Press Day practice and I was like wth? You cant race that bike! Thinking maybe it was a guy from Mx Sports or AMA just going out to ride the track maybe.

Then sure enough he is on the gate on Saturday racing. I dont really care but if we have a rule that has detoured others from racing thinking their bikes wont be accepted that isn't right.

I posted the original thread last night and pulled it down once i found what DC had said in another thread. Those are not hard rules posted on the site and can be bended on a case by base basis.

I know a former pro with a BADASS 125 they have done up that would love to race. It doesn't fall in the rules based on year (early 00's motor, newer chassis). Hoping DC and company can set up some sort of pre approval process so dudes don't drive hours and get denied. As long as the motor is 125cc and the bike is in good shape it should be race eligible.

It only makes sense that a bike of the same year as a legal bike from another mfg. wouldn't be legal to race in a non points paying exhibition race.

Just contact me. These are supposed to be fun and this guy had fun, plain and simple. We didn’t have a full gate and let him slide. Plus, the black-tape #1 works on every level...

Dammit... This story would have been way cooler if he paid his 5 dollar park entry fee and rode from the trails to the starting line.

Then pulled a track map out of his kidney belt, took a look around, and dropped the gate with Ryan Villopoto

You don't judge a book by its cover, but I am liking my chances to finish at least 23rd in the next race.

I say hell yeah to this guy! Only thing better would if he would've raced in jeans and a flannel.
Keep it fun! The more 125's the better!

So many WTFs and LOLs. Kidney belt as old as the bike. Missing boot buckle. Spray paint chipping off the airbox. Electrical tape number. Dude is awesome.
