i love the power from this bike but i just want a little more top end pull, any simple motor mods that WONT sacrifice reliability? Ive had it remapped which helped some and am running vp110, Better fuel help? cant afford pro circuit cams and springs, thoughts on higher compression piston?

An HC piston and the stage 2 cams from hotcams should do the trick.

If you don't mind losing a little snap off the bottom, go down one tooth on the rear sprocket.

If you order a yosh from tokyo mods theyll remap for free. Id start there. Full exhaust, remap and ask them which fuel and map for it.

Wouldnt “need” one. I will say the remap i did on mine after i built the motor gave me more power than the mods alone did.

Stage 2 cams would help up top. High compression piston will provide more low end grunt, would need to go back and look at some notes/data to be certain but this is what I remember.

Run a pipe with a properly tuned map. Stop wasting your money on 110 leaded fuel, its not a high compression 2 stroke. Run U4.4 with a proper remap or MR12 if you want to spend a fortune on fuel.

Take your bike to a dyno and set it up properly. Send it across the country for some mystery magic to be flashed in by somebody for sub par results. Does tokyo mods even have a dyno?

When spending 150+ dollars for a 5 gallon pale of fuel, MR12, is a much better fuel if he's not bound by ama pro regulations. U4.4 will also make more power, for half the cost.

The flash they did on my 450 turned it into a raped ape. I dont even want to ride it like that anymore & went back to a stock ecu. A dyno tune is better by far but also 3x the price

I run 110 because it’s cheap and clean, I get it wholesale. I ordered a pipe but there’s no where that can dyno tune within 200 miles of me so Tokyo mods it will have to be

You're probably giving up power running your cheap and clean whole sale priced 110 octane over the pump fuel your bike was designed for - Jus sayin'.... Its a tough pill to swallow for some but 110 leaded is just not going to help out a stock kx250f.

Wholesale = Dispensed to you from a 54 gallon drum at a race shop (Old, been open, dispensing a few gallons at a time to people)? From a pump in the ground (Low turn over rate)? Or are you actually getting 5 gallon pails that are sealed? No matter how stale the fuel is I suppose it wont make a bit of difference in your case as losing the light ends of the fuel wont quite matter because you dont need the octane.

SO my advice is go back to pump fuel, and stick with it unless you plan to have the ECU remapped for an oxygenated fuel that will make power.

HC piston, cams, U4.4, and a remap. It'll be a whole different bike.
