Ossa, how do you pronounce it?

I grew up riding a 1972 Ossa Pioneer 250. My Dad pronounced it " Oh-Saa"

My friend says it's pronounced " Ah-Saa"

Who is right?

I say "Oh-Saa", but it may not be correct.

I was lucky enough to get 2 of the GP2s and 2 of the GP3s. Here are some pics of the GP2s....

It was universally pronounced OSSA in our area throughout the 60's and 70's. Loved my Phantom GPII back in the day. Beautiful bike.

I need the correct pronounciation for another Spanish company--- Betor------ my circle of friends always pronounced it as " bee-tor" , an outsider was telling us it is " bay-ter" as in masturbator. Which one is correct? I tried the above link,but it gave me a Sorry--unknown.

I’ve always heard it pronounced Bay-tor.
