Because it was Eric doing a poor job of keeping up appearances. Unless you missed that one. Only lasted a few minutes. The other ones were the vbt piling on him and monster.

And the user is sitting on the sidelines.

I don’t care if it is publicly available, posting stuff about somebody’s family on here is over the line.

I find it humorous that everyone is bashing Americans for booing foreign riders. The pussification of the US continues.

Back when Bayle was racing I thought it was dumb when he was getting booed.

This country isn’t very pretty sometimes. Other times it produces great people. It’s a place of conflict due especially to our multiple outward differences clashing with our egos. At the same time, those differences lay the groundwork for a mutual understanding that other countries don’t necessarily experience in the same way. Being born into lies is difficult, but we're a community of pretend groups who can and will transcend our tribalism and nationalism. We’re made to think in terms of differences by media, politicians, powerfully sinister types, each other’s boring groups, our friends and families, etc. but it isn’t real and it isn’t kind. I was born here by force, but I welcome Ferrandis in America by choice. Great job this year, champ.
I've traveled extensively for business - domestically and internationally. I've been to 47 of the 50 states (hope to hit the last 3 in the next couple years). I can't count keep track of how many countries I've been to all over the world (Europe, Asia, etc. America is no worse or better in term of racism. Sure, we have our fair share of knuckleheads but other countries do just as much and in some cases even worse. From my personal experience, the worst I saw in my travels was in Belgium and how they viewed muslims (specifically Morrocans). I couldn't believe some of the things I heard and saw, blatantly. Anyone who thinks America is unique in this respect is biased or naive - or they just have a shitty source of news.

100% agree! Go to a Spanish soccer match and witness the monkey sounds the crowd makes when a black player comes on. Absolutely disgusting. I lived in Europe for 10 years, let me assure you, racism is very much alive and well over there.

I agree, I know what it takes to get there so I have to much respect to boo, but I know guys who did. They didn’t boo because they hated Bayle, it was because they love America and wanted an American to win.

Watch a World Cup game, holy crap do they take their nationalism serious, they boo like mad, to me it’s no big deal and it’s pride, not ignorance or fear.

I think you probably know me enough to know I have nothing but respect for all the riders, but I get why some boo. Just my 2 cents.

I agree with you. Go to the Hong Kong 7's rugby tournament in March sometime - it's an absolute blast. Nationalism is paramount. Everybody boos France when they are playing - everybody. It's kind of funny. I don't really know why either, but it is funny. It certainly isn't racist.

True, racism is alive and even doing pretty well in Western Europe, and even more more in Eastern countries. To the point where it's getting worrying.

International rugby is massively nationalist, try watching a six nations game where Wales play England if you want to see real national rivalry. As for sevens, it's usually always a bit of 'banter' and intended for laughs as they are very much festival occasions with a lot of beer involved, usually if a team is getting some flak, it's because of an earlier incident in a tournament game which the crowd didn't like but it is always, always about taking the piss and definitely not about abuse. Booing a team because they're from a different country is very different than booing a person cause they're from a different country...

Booing someone because they did something you disagree with is one thing but to boo someone because they achieved something you wanted someone else to is fucken dumb

Literally every sport in the world boos against certain people for one reason or another, but somehow American motocross fans are bigoted trash when they do it. SMFH

That was definitely a poor response and he was smart to remove it. It read like a "how dare anyone question my words, do you know who I am?" sort of thing.

Johnson is a professional wordsmith, so of all people he should know that words have huge impacts and repercussions. Just using the words "back story" instead of "inside joke" is a huge shift in meaning and set the tone for this whole thing being inappropriate for public interaction.

Acting like it is only Americans doing booing foreigners is the funny part. Has anyone ever been to an international soccer game? The Mexican fans are the worst.

With due respect, I think you are jumping to conclusions proclaiming that Dylan doesn't feel welcome in the United States. He did express some discontent in regards to one particular situation but I don't think we can draw the general conclusion that he feels unwelcome.

Posting something like: "He post more pictures about his daughter then anyone, the creep". Isn't really on topic and maybe offending too. The only way he could make it more offending was: "He post more pictures about his daughter then anyone, I hope he hasn't Belgian blood in him, the creep!" Laughing If you wanna keep it classy he could've would've should've said something like: "He posts pretty often pics of his daughter, looks like he is trying to get her a Monster Girl gig!"

I noticed that on the racer x review podcast that they mentioned something about ferrandis’ press conference and then magically didn’t talk about it.

Hmm.... wonder who pulled the plug on that.

nothing wrong with ragging on someone for sounding/looking like a tool but only a man without children makes fun of another man for taking pictures of his children. I cant remember the last thing I photographed that wasn't my son hahaha.

I take a lot of pictures of my son BUT don't post any of them on social media. There's a difference.

In many of those sports people are referring to, people are representing their national team, which itself invokes a certain degree of nationalism. Dylan wasn't representing France on the weekend, he was representing himself. It wasn't a France v US thing

Dylan got booed because AC crashed. In what world is that a logical thing to do. Dylan didnt marvin or osborne him, his team mate didnt take him out, he didnt flip him off or even rub it in AC's face. He just roder quietly rode into the sunset then got booed for it.

If that was Colt Nicols that won instead of Dylan do you think he gets booed? If the answer is no then its a nationality thing in my opinion, which is pretty uncool given the type of event it was
