I’m a Musquin fan but what is up with the 25? He was out performing Dungey in SX in the latter races before RD retired, I figured he was really finding his groove. So he was recovering from knee surgery at the beginning of the season and could not ride as often and hard as he wanted, but what now? What’s the missing piece? Webb and him are on the same bike and program so why is Coop reeling him in, passing and gapping him? Yes Webb is dialled right now but I would think a guy, (MM25) that is fighting to be in championship contention would be more aggressive then a guy, (CW2) who is protecting a championship. Has he mailed in SX and is focusing on being healthy for outdoors?
I think Coop would have to have two night outside the top ten, and Marv win both races to have a chance at the title?

Honestly... most of what you said could be applied to Tomac as well. Coop has been so fast, consistent and lucky this year he is making the 3 and 25 pay dearly for their slip ups.
If he came into the series 100% I'm confident the series would look different...same with Eli.
Marv is closing in on becoming 30 so, the window for winning a championship is starting to close. It sounds like he's close to re-signing with KTM. I'd love to see him finish out his career on orange.
It's pretty remarkable what KTM has accomplished with Marvin and Cooper this year. You can tell that the pairing has made both riders better; Marvin never rode past 98% in the past and Cooper has pushed him past his comfort zone & if you watch Cooper he emulates a lot of what Marvin does on the track. When they were on 250's they were completely different riders...now they are very similar.
I'm looking forward to a super-competitive outdoor season.

You'd have to assume that DV would have helped get the bike and his technique better for the whoops this year... ?He seems better but even in the Denver whoops which were small Coop pulled him and it's not like Coop is MC/Stew/Reed in the whoops.
Marv is objectively one of the best guys out there, but I think in the past when the two have lined up and raced on 250's, my memory tells me that Webb had the better results in terms of series points and championships here in the USA.
Seems to me that Webb just had a few bad years as a new 450 guy and he's found a team and training scenario that has brought out what he had in the 250 class.
Time will tell, but we can pretty much bet on the fact that these guys will be at or near the top for the next handful of years.
Will KTM keep signing him when it appears he will never win the championship? No 30 year old ever has right?
KTM could put him over with BB4 and bring in AC92 or some other up and coming racer to compliment Webb.
In terms of the age 30 talk... Somewhere in another thread recently someone posted some stats about nobody winning their first supercross title after age 26... I may have that info incorrect, and I didn't check the stats myself but I think I read that here on vital so it must be true.
