The dude has earned it, and Husky needs someone like him on the 250 next year.

Him and his bro used to just fly by me at Canyon in the late 90s on their yz80s if I remember correctly...I thought I was pretty good until they showed up Blush Tongue

.Age is always a tricky subject and the question is how much upside does he have this far into his career? and would better equipment improve his results

Blose is crushing it this year and it's awesome to watch. But, there isn't much upside for him. He's pretty much topped out. While I agree that he deserves a ride, I just don't see it happening. The young gun with "potential" will get that spot every time even if Blose finishes ahead of him in points.

He deserves one absolutely. He’s been a great asset to the team and a great teammate. His knowledge is unreal and his bike development skills are amazing. He is the perfect teammate and any team would be lucky to have him in 2020.

Not to say that Blose doesn't put in results but that's not all that teams look for. He could easily transition in a few years from racing to a position similar to Canard or Tedesco.

So Blose has been running 6-10 this year in a regional sx series at 30 years old. And we want to give him a factory ride now ? Great story for Blose but factory ride No.

He's been riding a 450 on the opposite coast and he just came off of a great AX career where he almost won the title more than once. I think he has untapped potential and it might surface with him having a boy on the way.

He will not be given a factory ride ever at this point in his career.

Factory teams: give davalos a ride year after year.

Also factory teams: Blose too old.

Davalos is a proven winner, yes. But, would you hire a winner, who rarely can finish a season, or a proven 5-10 place guy that has podium potential and his bike will be on the gate every weekend? I understand what you are saying, but at some point there has to be a line drawn. I might be wrong, but if I invested money, I would want to see my rider there every weekend, not 5 weekends and wins 1 time.

Teams should see the value in the data they can collect in testing and on race day alone.

I don't see it happening. If I were running a factory team, I'm looking for talent/rider(s) I can have for at least 3-5 years and have them in their prime. Blose has blown through his prime years...5 years ago.

Id hire the guy who has had years on my team before and given me wins regardless if he finishes the season or not.

I didn't say he should go to Pro Circuit?? Davalos has never rode for lets say, Geico. At 31 and all his injuries, would you roll the dice on Davalos for a whole year, or would you take Blose, at probably half the money and gets you good results, rather than a flash in the pan with 1 win and is hurt. I should also point out that I am a big fan of both of them lol. It's an opinion, but also Martin through 7 rounds his average finish is 7th I believe even with a win, Chris has an average finish of 9th on non factory equipment.

I kinda think he deserves a better ride to, kinda reminds me of Weston a few years ago and look how it helped him! Maybe if he is on 250 next year maybe one of the satellite 250 teams can pick him up and the age shouldn't be a factor I mean look at Davalos how long has he been in the 250 class?

I'll take the wins...most all teams will take a win over consecutive top 10's

If you were to invest in a team you would find winners because that is what pays.

The only argument I have left I guess is that Davalos in 13 years has won 4 times. Here comes the HOW MANY TIMES HAS CHRIS WON!! Lol. But in all reality Chris hasn't raced SX as long as Davalos and his injury list isn't as long.

I just think it's ridiculous the guy can't get on a team for a 1 year deal or do what they did with Chris Gosselaar and say you have a performance based contract or whatever Mitch did for him back in the day.

For the record, if I had money, and fielded a 4 person team, 2 different coasts, I would pay 1 rider (per coast) good money that is suppose to win and the other 2 someone like Chris that is going to put in results and work hard with potential upside. Everyone wants a winner but not everyone can win.

How many top rides has Josh Grant had? A lot people have complained that the rides he's had should have went to someone else.

Same concept as Davalos. Teams can work with speed.

The guy that wins a few races a year will bring more exposure to the team than the guy who finishes the series in 8th with a couple top 5 finishes.
