Instead of hoping for a good recovery. You have to kick the guy when he’s down? Classy. Heal up Tyler

Really? How about,"Uh, no."

I think it's time for Tyler to focus on healing and doing whatever makes him as stroked and positive as he ALWAYS is.

If that's riding? Awesome.

I've always been a fan of the Brothers Enticknap & the positive attitude that they exude.

Another gem. They've been standing out more and more lately.

Can anybody summarize on his injuries? I don't have time to watch a 21 minute video at the moment. He looked decent on the stretcher. Better than I had assumed, anyway.

I hope he has an uneventful recovery. I would ask my own sons, with tears in my eyes to retire. He is already been through hell and prematurely aged his body. Best of luck.

Suggesting that he walk away while he can still walk (in 3 months) is not kicking a guy while he is down. Tyler has crashed his way out of the series on more than one occasion with very serious injuries that could have been catastrophic / life altering. Telling a guy he should think about hanging it up because of repeated injuries isn't meant to discourage him from racing, but rather to tell him there is a LOT of life left after it...and it may be worth being healthy and feeling good for it. Best wishes on a speedy recovery.

Did Tyler get landed on? Is that what happened? Sorry, I haven’t seen anything about what actually transpired during the heat race.

Agreed. I mean no offense, but have either brothers made a main this year? It’d be a different story if he was making every main but they aren’t competitive at all so at what point are all these serious injuries worth it?

That is up to them, I'm sure the people who get hurt feel it more than we do.

not to mention this was an injury update thread not a Suggestion thread for someones life direction.

It's in the vid above at the 16 min mark.

It looks like that could have been really really bad. Reminiscent of Trey Canards crash. But damn being bigger and stronger may have helped him a bit. Did you see he doesn't even let go of the bars after 400 lbs of man/machine drops on his head, shoulder, back - holy shit.

Hopefully a speedy and boring recovery. No surprises...just good healing time.

I've always wondered if guys like Tyler (privateers) actually make a living do this? I mean, he tries to hit every SX and this has to be expensive. At the end of a SX season, does he even make enough to pay himself anything? Everyone has bills, mortgage, food. lights etc....how do they do it?

It's in the video above. Enticknap cross rutted and doubled through a section that Stewart tripled. Stewart landed on top of Tyler. Hard to say from the video if the injury occured on impact or when Tyler flew off the track and maybe hit the concrete on his lower back. Stewart came straight down on his back onto a tabletop and hit the back of his head hard.

That x-ray is already brutal enough without the new hardware.

Fuck.

I don't know the guys and am just repeating internet hearsay: the Enticknaps have money. That's been the case with other journeyman privateers who field a strong effort for years and don't get results to support it.

At the same time, they seem to understand the value of a dollar. When Adam was making mains more consistently he was psyched to make $1,000 a weekend for riding his dirt bike.

He's certainly got his hands full later in life.

Fingers crossed both have good recoveries, the injuries to both could've been much worse. Stewart's fortunate to come round after that hit.

Any one of us that actually race at any level could face the same fate. If it’s not worth it to you, don’t race.

Is being “stroked” a new term? Would you rather be stroked or stoked?

Trying to keep up with the lingo.

It's his life so you're right. When I see guys putting their bodies through the ringer I can't help but wish whey would hang it up as there's likely to be more injuries down the line and life after SX is measured in deacdes. His xrays are pretty brutal and guys at his level, despite being amazing riders, are not making enough to make it worth while so it seems pointless to carry on with the risks involved.

If this was a tweaker trashing themselves into oblivion then we'd all be of the same opinion. Sometimes this sport seems to me to be just as bad as any drug addiction and has similar lasting effects. The pussification of vital posters continue⬆️

GWS to the pair of them.

? Bottom right!

It amazes me how uninjured pro riders get after big crashes, if that makes any sense. Go grab someone off the street that works in an office and have them get landed on by a 250+ lbs motorcycle from 20 feet in the air and see what injuries they have coming out of it. A broken back is definitely serious to any extent, but in a sport where parallelization (sp?) is common, he's lucky to walk out of it.

Get well soon Tyler!

Not true at all. They are just regular dudes working hard and fighting to keep the dream alive. Two guys that genuinely love all things moto.
