Exactly. He's won in spite of his bike. Without big point leads he would be screwed. This isn't the early yrs if racing where your riding style would dictate if your bike made it through even one race. Name another factory riders bike breaking on the regular like ET's in the modern era

yamahas just don't have the svelte motocross look, aesthetically, and believe it or not, it matters. a race-forward look, though I would argue only Honda and Kawasaki have it in pure form these days, is a reflection of what's underneath.
