1983 XR200
-1980 CR80 fuel tank
-Universal fit fenders
-Special order, one-off, green side panels from DC Plastics
-Renthal RC High bars
-Magura throttle off an old Maico (Result is a 1/6 turn throttle)
-One inch up and one inch forward bar risers
-1983 CR125 front brake cable
-Very old White Brothers Carb/Manifold/Exhaust kit
-1mm larger intake valve
-Special Cam Grind from "WebCams"
-High compression piston
-Bored out to last stock over bore.
-12/52 gearing (stock is 13/50)
-Race Tech completely reworked the shock and forks
-Uses VP C12

Looks like a Langtown Classic !

Bought a 79 XR185 new. Loved that bike. Traded it on a 79 XR500 with the steel tank. Traded that for an 81 XR500 and regretted it somewhat. The chain noise on the slider was crazy and it didn't seem to have the balls of the 79. Loved it anyway until I bought an 84 CR500. The dark, power hungry side then took over.

88 Piranha semi auto 4 speed, 19MM Mikuni carb, FMF factory 4.1, Piranha Face Ace shock, BBR extended front springs, and ProTaper controls. It’s a blast!

My 83 XR500

Now that's a proper 74 XR 75! Diggn' that DG set-up.This 74 model was my first real motorcycle. Still have the burn mark on my right calf to prove it. My first was a Sears minibike. Both, my XR 75 and my Sears minibike, were hand me downs from my older brother. Great times.

Thanks 'zilla. The only issue is that it turned out a little TOO nice, now I have to build one that I can ride, beat-up and actually use for a pit bike ,lol.

That's my XLR 125 R MJ 1998.
On the left how it was sold in Germany and on the right my build.
Just for some Dual Sport riding and my way to work.

I just got this super fresh 88 250
Still original tires
I'm going to send the shock out and thinking of installing 600 forks and leave the rest alone.
I think XRs are cool looking simple machines.
