The JGR deal fell apart so he came home, and now he's been offered the fill-in on the #461 machine so he must've taken that option

If this is true, I wonder why the JGR deal didn’t work out? What the hell is that team going to do for outdoors? Go the MCR route and do SX only this year?

Seems like a massive amount of money to spend on one guy that doesn’t seem to be motivated to race at 100% nearly every weekend.
They still have Hill, and I imagine they're hoping Peick will be back? Maybe Reed fills in until he's ready.

Hill was the rider I was referring to. Peick likely won't be racing and Reed isn't doing outdoors.

KTM Grand Prix team is also looking for a fill in. Otherwise Jeffrey Herlings wish can't continue, that is what I understood from Pit Beirer his interview. They got a team for two or three riders (last year: Coldenhoff, Herlings, Jonass) and this year all those people are working for Vialle because Herlings is injured and Coldenhoff and Jonass are replaced. So if Herlings want to ride the AMA Outdoors, KTM needs to have a decent replacement rider, to keep the people in Austria busy...

Do we see one extra MX2 rider joining Vialle or do they find a MXGP rider to replace Herlings? Or do they just ignore Herlings wishes?!

Ferris has won the past three Australian Championships on that bike, he know how to ride it

Ever heard of James Stewart? He's quite popular around here.

Ever heard of Jim Weinert, he also won on Yamaha Dry . But now in this day and age the Yamaha seems a hard bike to ride with. Look at Aaron Plessinger, Justin Barcia but also Romain Febvre...

Dean was given a dead stock Suzuki here in Aus which he rode for a small period of time before he and his family headed over to the states, where they were planning on relocating full-time. He said that he was having dramas working out a Visa and had to come back home Aus. (whether a possible JGR deal fell through or he couldn't secure a visa I do not know) After the shake-up he gave in the outdoors last year I think his potential would be wasted racing another year in Australia and racing the first few GPs the steam rolling into the US Outdoors series and spray Tomac

I'm holding up a picture of Plessinger's bike, squinting, and I swear I can picture a 33 on there in place of the 7s...

That did not get the large number of thumbs up that it deserved.

JGR should've snagged Ferris one way or another. Even if it meant getting rid of Hill. Hill is super talented and lays down wicked qualifying times, but somehow he always figures out a way to get a shitty race result. He is way too fast to suck that bad. I don't know if it's fitness or mental, but he aint getting it done on a 450 and hes had plenty of chances to. Ferris would be a grinder and get them some consistent, good results I'd bet.

To add to GuyB's post, Keefer said Grant rode the bike today.

I’ll just leave this here- (no 33 on it, YET)

Never say never. If Peick was going to be ready for, say, round 3, and JGR just needed Reed to do the first 2, I'm sure they could work something out.

Hill is the ultimate wildcard. We'll see.

Well, Ferris is for sure going somewhere, and he is someone to be reckoned with in outdoor mx, wherever he lands he will bring his phenomenal mental strength with him and make 110% of the situation

be great if they peeled the 84 off and put dean on that bike! I would prefer that over riding the 461 machine

Pretty shocking they didn't sort Ferris out for Plessinger's ride. He killed it last time over on a short prep.
