And yet another article written by Geoff Jr (mcreed) aimed directly at stirring the GP vs Nationals pot by taking excerpts out of interviews and skewed to rile the minions...

Seriously, he obviously had an issue with something about the Yamaha....
I think his problem with the Yamaha was his lack of effort during the week and therefore no confidence.

Go back and look at his pieced together "interview" with Roczen a few years ago (the one where he claimed Kenny hated Herlings)...made it look like an interview but he plagiarized other's interviews and articles and made it look like his....he got called out by Kenny.... he's a tool

Careful when you state the obvious...you'll get a lashing Smile

It's clear what Webb's problem was. I'm glad he made the point publicly that you don't lose talent or speed, as there's some vitards who need to hear that from the mouth of a pro. A few times in that interview he basically said, read between the lines people, there was one key ingredient of the equation that was slowing me down.

Glad to see he's moved on and putting on a great show for us. I think he's going to surprise people outdoors.

I hope Zach Osborne and Baggett run up front outdoors as well.

Hate to say it but i think the webb/cianciarulo era is rolling in. Roczen and tomac had their chances and that era is passing. Webb hit his stride. Roczen eli and marvin seem to be dialing back whatever they had in recent years.

I got a hunch webb is going to carry this tsunami into the outdoors and go toe to toe with eli and herlings if he comes over.
I mean yeah It’s not like tomac is a back to back outdoor champ or anything....happened only a few months ago..

Webb and the boys are killing it right now but come hangtown Tomac will be different animal just like every year IMO. The fact that Eli has said the outdoor title meant the most to him kinda shows you where his heart is as far as the two series go and I believe he will run Kenny, Marvin and coop down in regular basis!! Hopefully it will be awesome national series this summer and ibelieve they will all have problems wirh Herlings I’d be shows up!!

So IF Herlings comes over does he go train/practice at Bakers? Do Herlings and Webb have to play nice together since they’ll basically be KTM teammates? I just want to see an all out brawl between Webb, Herlings, Tomac, Roczen, Musquin and whoever else with no punches pulled, best man wins.
Webb and Herlings are already on good terms and should be fine together at Bakers.
Why would Herlings have to go to Baker's when what he is doing already is working for him? Is it because he is a KTM rider and since his own program is already working why would he need Aldon? Herlings is already beating the American riders and he has already beat the Baker boys.

this ... i think you are right ..Roczen,Tomac and Musquin , how grazy it sounds might never win a 450 SX title

You guys do realise Roczen's only a year older than Webb right?

i know , but he moved up in 2014 ..won his very first SX in 450 and now in it for his 6th season , he had some very bad injuries and that possibly still prevents him from being 100% old Kenny , but with upcoming rookies Plessinger ,Osborne etc its only getting tougher to get wins and podiums in future ..i wanted Roczen to win it this season and he looked good , consistant like no other . but just look how long it takes him to pass some riders he would blitz in past and his 2 possible race wins he gave away last corner ...
Marvin and Kenny both make too many mistakes , looks like the pace at the moment is just a bit too much for them and with Tomac being inconsistant like previous years .. i see a possibility all 3 never win a SX title

i still hope Roczen wins a SX title , but man it looks like his time is past ... just my opinion

Did RC’s or RV’s size affect how dominant they were? Saying that webb has no chance against herlings because herlings is bigger is dumb.
Was just talkin about this last weekend at a supercross party. You’d think height would help but history show us the short men are dominant. must be low center of gravity or something. Bike and height do all the work!

Short legs are a big advantage in rutted corners and short guys typically weigh less. Less weight is like having a little more h.p. and no doubt allows for better starts on average, and starts are extra critical in sx. Herlings is incredible in the way he utilizes his bigger size/weight/strength for the advantages that can have. If Webb can utilize his shortness and lightweight for max advantage, that will be good. He's gonna have to outdoors to run with Herlings or Tomac. Maybe he will. I'm sure the lower center of gravity you mention is true to some degree. That does make sense

Exactly. A factory rider has access to whatever is necessary to make his bike as good as a bike can be. Webb could have won on the Yamaha just like he is now. He just didnt have the right team of people helping to get the bike right, getting him in top shape, pushing him, motivating/inspiring him. KTM is doing all that. Sure the KTM may feel a little more natural to smaller riders, but a Yamaha can be made to work well for anyone when you have access to the best of everhthing and can test/change stuff all you need to. It's the team that is the difference with Webb. Now his bike, his fitness, and his mind is right. Yamaha needs to see this and try to work on building a better team.

Roczen and Tomac are two of the most talented badasses in history who just have a mental glitch that has kept them from piecing it all together. Both have the talent to have had multiple SX and MX titles. RV was like Roczen or Tomac. He was just better at maintaining mental focus and stability. RC was the best in history at maintaining it mentally and keeping his race focus. Herlings has more talent and speed than Cairoli, but the mental focus over a long period of time? Time will tell.

If I were a top ama or mxgp rider, Herlings would definitely be all up in my head. I'd be watching vids of him like crazy and observing what he does. Then I'd be trying to do the same like a mf. Tomac said "I like watching Herlings ride". I wonder if he just watches or if he studies and learns.

Webb was incredible in one moto, but (cue the thumbs down) Herlings was far from his best in Charlotte. He'd only just returned to racing at Assen the weekend before (after missing the three previous GP's) due to injury, where Covington beat him by over 20 seconds in one moto!

Who wouldn't want to leave home, travel half way across the world, and race in third world countries... Clearly every rider wants a GP title. Look at all our past champs that left here in the prime of their careers to chase that drea..... oh never mind.

I’m sorry but Webb’s success indoors does t exactly mean it transfers outdoors. I see him doing better outdoors than in the past but most likely behind 3,4 and 25.

(I forgot Anderson— behind a healthy Anderson as well)

If Herlings is here, I doubt webb beats him in a single moto.

Just an honest observation.

At Charlotte, Herlings was every bit as far ahead of the other GP riders as he ever was during the season. Covington was nowhere near Herlings as no other GP riders were either. If Herlings was that far off his normal pace, then what was wrong with all the other GP guys as well? Just let a legit win be a legit win. Especially when Webb came from 19th off the start to win, and win with at least a 5 second gap. Webb was ama 250 sx champ and ama 250 outdoor champ both that year. He was very good. It's not inconceivable that he would be able to beat Herlings. On top of that, Webb isn't even mentioning that he beat Herlings or bragging. He's showing class by just saying he went toe to toe with Herlings. From the pace Herlings ran and not fading, he was not far off his normal game if any. They raced. Webb won. Herlings was faster after that on 450s, but Webb won that race in Charlotte way too convincingly to say it was only because of Herlings previous injury. That's possible, but it also might not have made any difference. You cant know. Webb hauled major ass and Webb won. Straight up and with a horrible start to boot.

Yep because Anderson and Marvin have many more outdoor championships than Webb...yep no way Webb can win outdoors or beat those guys, you have some lottery numbers also I can get from you??

I mean hes definitely right. No1 is saying Webb is the FMOTP, but in Coops last 250 race ever, in that 1 race, he not only reeled in Herlings, but caught and passed him. Not only him but Forkner too who was leading the whole race. The funny part that everyone forgets is that Forkner was beating both Herlings and Webb as a rookie with 3 numbers for almost the entire race. We focus on Webb and Herlings, but Forkner was killing it as a rookie, beating both of them... pretty badass!
