The way he throws in the towel is so upsetting to watch. At least we got to see a great race still as he dismembered himself and faded to 12th.. It makes you wanna pull your hair out when he makes a mistake and then just crumbles way further than necessary. Oh well we dont have to worry about it anymore because Im a KRoc fan and hes staying on the podium and Webb is gonna be an ANIMAL at MXON. No choking from him he THRIVES under pressure.

Man Tomac is really missing his chance to get 450 SX titles. Usually a rider doesn't stay at their peak for many more years than 3-4 max (there are exeptions). He has "peaked" twice already and completely dominated, yet he has zero SX titles (regionals don't count when we're talking about the big dogs).

16 points is not that bad but he has 3 riders infront of him. It would be different if he would be 16 back of Webb and second in points. The clock is ticking.

And what about his starts? He had an average start position of 4,4 in 2018, he was the second best starter after Marvin. In 2019 he has an average start position of 7,5.

Some of you guys latch onto one rider and it shows. He does choke, lets be real. All we heard was "if he gets a good start lookout"..."he needs to work on his starts". Well he got one. How was Webbs start last night? How was it at round one?

Musquin was fast enough to be in the mix with Tomac and Dungey in his last year. Hes healthy and fast, Roczen is fully healthy and Webb has upped his game. Same reasons Anderson wasnt placing as well...

I don't like Webb at all, but I wouldn't call that choking. He was riding his ass off and pushed it over the limit because he had to.

Mental midget? Yet one of the best dirt bike riders in the world and has more wins than anybody out there except for Reed. Fuck some of you people are dense. You don't become one of the best dirt bike riders in the world if you're a "mental midget".

A good sports psychologist might do wonders for him...to years ago when he won SLC (coming from dead last) and then melted down in New Jersey I was thinking this....

Yup, I agree, when things get tough Tomac gets a little sort in the head.

Here is what is playing out and the rider that manages it the best tends to more often bring home the fat bacon.

Think about it. He has elite factory support, all the bike specialists, engine gurus, suspension gurus, telemetry gurus, mapping gurus, fuel guys, rubber guys, a trainer/ nuticianist, chef, a chick, the infamous man friend or anything else one desires.

Which leaves me with..

1. Pressure gets to him and bad on track decisions are made,

2. Is Bakers 24/7 prgramme that much better?

3. Or, the current top 5 are simply a tad better in any scenario

Lastly, it is entirely possible he is hiding a possible small but niggling injury or even worse, they have lost direction of the ideal bike setup.

Champoins are made by having these things covered the best over the next guy.

He was hauling ass at first and in his qualifier. But once he got zapped I don’t know what happened to him! Something is up for sure.

Hurt for sure. Sometimes a tip over results in a nagging injury or reinjury. I vote the latter. The healing time just got longer.

I wonder if he reinjured his back or at least irritated it. That was a pretty bad fade because of a low speed get off.

That is a longshot because he admitted having the back injury because that was behind him and he was 100%. I would think that him getting it reinjured or irritated in a small tipover is almost impossible?

It might be the case but i don't think that. This seemed like the classical Tomac fade after a crash, we've seen this before.

Or maybe he was “zapped” as in recent injury flares up while riding and he tipped over as a result - quite possible whatever’s been bugging him flared up last night - hell the guy could have been riding with severe back pain for the rest of the Main for all we know.

When I saw Eli get the start, it looked to me like he was going to set sail. He looked really good in those opening laps. I said to my son, there he goes, he’s going to check out, good bye. Roczen somehow picked up the pace and caught him and passed him. Passing Eli for the lead is a huge leap forward for Roczen. I don’t think I can recall another time when Eli got a start like that, looked like he was going to check out, and someone passed him straight up for the lead. It certainly doesn’t happen often unless Eli crashes.
