I think it’s a valid co parison in terms of potential not being fulfilled and actual results. Beyond that, personalities, effort off the track, etc doesn’t seem that similar, although as a mere fan that doesn’t know either of them personally who the hell knows for sure.

It’s weird, everyone always says JLaw didn’t care at all what people thought of him, but he always reminded me of the kids back in school who said they didn’t care, but in reality cared waaaay to much.

My guess is maybe J-Law was making some people look bad. (Remember his "who cares" comment on TV when asked about the upcoming outdoor season?) After all, Supercross and Motocross are corporate businesses trying to make money. Maybe the Power Players decided to make things harder for him in terms of sanctions and sponsorships Etc. With J-law's personality already the way it was, and possibly feeling he was doomed anyway, maybe it only made him act up even more.

Pretty sure this thread is pointless. These guys are only comparable to the 250 West SX Title. Other than that, everything else is totally opposite.

WTF is this thread even about? Did I miss something or is JH not 5 races into his 450 career? You could argue AC's 250 career has went about as well as JH's did and none of us are saying he's gonna be a bust. Let's just take a deep breath.

They both should have tried hard and more often if they wanted better finishes. They also both speak and act against the grain in general for this sport. But... J Law was an asshole while Hill seem likeable, big difference there. Hill still has a lot of time ahead of him to change the talented headcase label he's been getting.

No it's about a rider that is 5 races into his 450 career and got hurt and had to go to the hospital. Clearly he's a bust and should be laid off. (Sarcasm font needed)

Wasn't his 450 SX fill in last year also cut short by injuries, along with last years 450MX series after he moved up? It's not that he's had a bad 5 races, its that a trend is visible. Note that Osborne has yet to ride a 450sx this year due to injury, and nobody is starting threads like this about him.

Never heard Jlaw say " I need a 450, then you'll see what I got!" Jlaw said "When I bank 1 million, you won't see me....."

J Hill brought it onto himself. Lots of talk and no delivery.

Personally, Hill acts like a partyboy and a rock star from what I hear on the podcasts.

I’ve heard that as well. I think Blair said something about him showing up late for practices doing track walk in pajamas etc. I also remember hearing Mitch say he was one of the most frustrating riders he’s employed. I like guys that relax like AP and seem to have fun but with Justin it seems like he doesn’t act like he’s employed. So much talent but won’t put in the work. It’s definitely a strange thing. It’s also mentioned quite often that he’s out of shape. It’s just hard to imagine getting paid to do a job and not performing. Then again Tony Romo was the Cowboys quarterback forever.

I thought the same of yours. How you can refer to someone who can ride a motorcycle fast as a “bad mother fucker” is beyond me. That’s all he has...nothing more. A extremely talented rider who faded out of the scene way to fast because he was anything but a BMF. A BMF should be referred to as someone who actually accomplished something well beyond their abilities...not someone who accomplished way less than their talents. I call those people fuck ups...you can call them whatever you want

I’m not bullshitting when I said I liked Lawrence, I was pulling for him every time he lined up. Still a major F- up

Jason was beyond talented your correct.

He accomplished a lot. For a year he took over the lites world in SX.

Demons are a bad deal. He’s still a kid that loves to ride his dirt bike.

Did he have too much fun? Yes.

Was he a BMF? Hell yes

And always nice and funny or shy when I was around him.

I do agree with most of what you said, and yes he was always nice to most everyone. Except to RV after Ryan tried to feed him his front tire?

Sorry for my comments making it appear he is not a very talented individual and obviously very amusing guy to have at the races. It’s just your definition of BMF and mine are two different people...but that’s cool, we all have our own opinions. I used to think anyone who could ride fast was some kind of god, that’s no longer how I feel. I’ve learned that being good at anything does not make anyone exempt to being a fuck up or whatever else they may turn out to be. Not positive, but if you asked Lawrence, he would probably agree with that assessment of what he was at the prime of his riding abilities. Doesn’t mean he wasn’t a bad person...I know a lot of fuck ups that are wonderful people

BTW my burrito comment was not my first stupid post and it won’t be my last....guaranteed. It’s a problem I’m trying to work on, if I wasn’t such a fuck up I’d have figured it out by now

This thread got me thinking about the time JLaw was doing poorly in an outdoor moto and decided to turn off the track and start hitting the whoops on another track next to it.. Think it was Millville? that dude seriously didn't GAF. I think that was near the end.. possibly his last national. He did show up for Dilla but only rode practice then went MIA.
