Yo so i downloaded the game and put tracks, skins, but that only thing that doesn't show up are the bikes i download. its says it'll show up as fc 2016 and etc in the dyno but it doesn't.
PLEASE HELP!!!!!
Do you have the newer bike models downloaded? Without those you cant get skins for those year bikes. I remember having issues with this also but forget exactly what i did to fix it. make sure all files are extracted too.

I guess this shits just beyond me, I spent the better part of the evening at least trying to figure out how to make it around the track but it aint happening. I can't make a single corner, then when I run off the track it takes 3 minutes to get going back on the track in the right direction.
PRO PHYSICS is a waste of time. I've played all the PlayStation MX games since the 90's and you cannot easily learn pro physics, its honestly harder than riding a bike for real. So I've been just riding arcade physics the whole time. It works as close to your average controls from a normal game. Since the last update they made Arcade physics less stiff and now the bike whips as if it has pro physics on, MUCH MUUCH BETTER!

Yes pro physics has a steep learning curve, but once you find a good bike setup and practice, you will never go back to arcade. Also much faster than arcade, lap time wise. Arcade is imo just ment to be a great way to get a feel for the game.

One thing that helps new people on pro physics is that you don’t need to counter steer as much as you do in Mx Vs Atv. Just turn a little bit and slightly counter steer. Another thing that really helped me was don’t try and go WFO on the ama and supercross tracks. The way they are made and the ruts and bumps are going to be too hard for the beginner. Try the stock tracks and just focus in on not falling. This game is setup just like real life, the faster you get the easier it is to ride. Going around the track is harder for me then going slow. Flat landing will always cause a crash, try and land rear wheel down or front wheel down first. Don’t mash the brakes, you’ll go OTB. It’s taken me 5 years to get to the point where I can qualify for a supercross or national. Never have made any mains but I don’t play everyday also. Maybe once or twice a week for a few hours. Good luck!

This game is meant to play on basically any computer. So chances are any computer would be just fine. The higher end pc you get it will just run a bit smoother and things will look a bit more clear.

Just to backup what you said and also more tips. The thing is with mx sim you need to do research and experiment a ton before you find a setup that works and you can learn with, I'm a pretty fast rider for outdoor tracks but still cant play sx consistently to this day, personally i don't find it that fun (prolly because im not good at it) and its just a whole other thing to learn in that game, hard as hell. Some beginner sx tracks though are a blast, like DelbSX. But one debatable thing is the stock tracks, they have absolutely no traction and can be really frustrating to learn on, it does help with learning throttle control but I almost couldn't recommend the stock tracks to start out with, I think they should update the texture files on those tracks because no custom tracks have that little of traction. The biggest piece of advice for this game is just practice, simple as that. Then all of the things like when to shift, sit down and stand up, whip, or anything else will come naturally, I watched a ton of tutorials on youtube for how to do things when I started out 2 years ago and literally the only thing that was a game changer was my bike setup, other than that its just seat time. But to this date no other game ive ever played do I enjoy as much as mx sim for racing, it only gets more fun as time goes on.

If anyone wants some suspension setups i have a pretty decent one. Im running similar laptimes as the pros with this setup.

Ok, I've heard so many mixed reviews about this game...someone give me the real scoop!

I know the learning curve is crazy. Is it so crazy that the game isn't fun anymore? How long until I git gud? Does it have a season/championship mode?

I have played it literally every day since 2011.

Is it hard? Yeah - but I don't remember being overly frustrated with it. Just roll around for a while and you'll figure out the physics.

Setups and whatnot seemed too complicated for me. I think I sort of just put everything in the middle and just rolled with it. I'm sure a proper setup would mean a big difference, but meh.

I read people say "It's so hard it's stupid" and I guess it COULD be, but that's because you're wanting to jam the gas button and just race. You actually have to figure out the balance the bike requires and you'll get better from there. Just literally focus on following a track and just roll all the jumps for a while. When you can do a few laps without falling, start speeding up.

As for computers, mine is POS and works fine. Sometimes I have to lower the graphics settings, but I don't know what I'm missing graphically anyway.

It's the most real experience you will get from a moto game. What's your definition of good? Battling with the best? Probably never. Good enough to ride sx without crashing a lot? Maybe a year depending on the person and how much they play. There is no championship mode. It's not that type of game. It was developed by one guy and is not a polished game. It's a simulator. It can be as awesome as you want to make it as far as tracks, bikes, gear, etc.

Interesting. Thanks for the feedback! My computer set up is just fine, actually even my gaming laptop would run it...I have just been super hesitant to buy it due to all the mixed reviews.

Has it been updated since 2011?!? That's quite a while for a game to stay relevant.

Also, regarding racing in the MXS...is there a championship mode? Like, create a character, race a season, etc?

Thanks for the info. What I really enjoy is racing....so if there's no racing simulation, I'm not sure I'll be that into it.

I just wish Monster Energy Supercross didn't suck so bad. lol Hopefully this next one is better?

In reality, most people who don't like this game never downloaded good tracks, and the newest bikes/skins to get the most out of this game, or just didnt take the time to learn. The learning curve is hard, but once it clicks, it gets much easier. It took me a solid two weeks to get around a track without falling every 20 seconds. But it was so hard in the beginning because i was messing with the stability setting, not realizing once you change that, it totally erases the setup you just made, so in reality, you can put stablity on 0 and then make a setup, and it will run with that setup. Do not make the mistake i did and go back and forth thinking they work together, they dont. Find a good setup online after getting a hang of the game and stick with it. This is by far the most rewarding and fun moto game ive ever played, there are plenty of people who have 5+ years in this game and still play daily, I have 2 years in and still play daily, sometimes for a race or sometimes for hours on end. Its like real life, some days you will suck and be slow, crash, and other days you will be in the flow and be hauling ass, there is no better feeling than railing ruts and just being in your own flow in that game. If you put the time in, you will not regret it. From the experiences, fun and time I have in that game, I would literally spend $200+ to buy this game again. $40 is a no brainer in my opinion. And no, dont play the demo because it is not at all how the game actually is after downloading abunch of tracks and mods. Also, like you asked, you can sign up for series and championships on some websites and race on servers, there is a ton of servers to race on for free whenever you want, which is what most people do. Some of the fastest guys in the world race in series where you pay but can win prizes from real life moto companies and money. But most people just race in normal servers for fun, Its an actual motocross simulator.

After seeing your recent reply about the racing part of it, I never play this game alone. I am always in a server, sometimes with 3 people or 30 people. It runs so smooth (except when someone has a bad connection), there is never any glitches or bs like in some moto games, it will be the exact same every lap and if you hit someone chances are you both are going down. The racing part of this game is what makes it so good, battling with someone the same speed as you is the most fun I have in this game. And you can make battles last an entire race with no bugs making one of you crash for the same thing you did last lap, if you two look out for each other and are consistent, its an absolute blast. This is one of those games where you cant describe it to someone who doesn't play, just give it a try and everything i said will make sense! Feel free to message me to play sometime, I will definitely help you out.

The development of the game never stops. It's updated regularly. It will be around for a long time. No other game comes close.

Also, there is people racing all the time. There is a server list on mxsimulator.com that shows recent races so you can find a server that people are currently racing on. I only race online with any moto game.

yes - it's updated very frequently. The real reason for its shelf life is the track-making. Every single day there's a few new tracks and most are quite good.

Yes - there's some sort of Championship mode but there's no "depth" to it - you just race X number of tracks and you win a Championship. You'll do it once and then forget about it.

Also, remember you turn with your bike and weight, not the bars. So you will have the bars go the opposite way you turn your stick, which is one of the hardest parts of the game to get use to. Speed is the key to prevent the bars from flying the other way while turning while starting out, dont make any large movements when taking off from a stop.

Theres replica championship races hosted by various websites. The biggest is the race factory gaming website. They make VERY good replica tracks every week and you play along as the series in real life goes along. This goes for mx and sx. To get to this level, it takes a while. Everyone is different. Ive been playing almost daily since 2012 and it took me a long time to be competitive in the random online races that arent hosted by a series.

Biggest thing is to get a good controller. I reccomend an xbox elite controller. Youd be shocked at how limited youll be with a shitty walmart controller.

Ive been using a (Maybe a knockoff?) xbox one wired controller for 2 years now and its been treating me pretty damn good honestly, paid I think $20 for it from gamestop. After you saying that maybe I should invest in an actual xbox one controller or elite. Id be curious the difference, if any. Funny because I had a shit ton of ps4 controllers, one which is a scuf ($150+) that I never use but have a low end one for pc that I use daily, I think I have my logic backwards now that I think about it.

I went through a lot of those clear walmart controllers before finally splurging on one from razer. The razer one didnt last long so i splurged more on the elite. So far the elite is really good. Its lasted over a year and a half now. Going from walmart to the razer to the elite easily got me a couple seconds on laptimes. Strongly recommend a nice controller.

If anyone wants some suspension setups i have a pretty decent one. Im running similar laptimes as the pros with this setup.
Could i see your suspension and advanced stability setup please dude? I found a couple good ones recently that work well for me but would love to try another if that is cool? Cheers dude!

When i get home ill post pictures of my suspension. It works pretty well with mx and sx. Right now its tailered towards sx since its sx season.

I can post my stability as well if you want. Its not going to do you any good if you dont have the same controller as i do tho. Plus its a preference thing.

Not sure if you have a preference, but a lot of people still use the 360 controllers so that's an option also. Plus the price will be slightly cheaper if you're on a budget.

Heres my full setup. The stability settings are totally preference and might be too sensitive for you. Suspension should be good tho.
