put both brakes on one-button with anti-lock... and move your rider mass distrubution forward.. and it makes turning way easier, along with braking.

It takes awhile & I still suck too. I see progress though especially on the beginner tracks. I still struggle with rough tracks, the key is momentum the right gear & well a lot of factors can play into it. It's pretty satisfying though when you rail a corner & nail a jump that has caused you to crash time & time again. Watch the tutorial video on youtube. Most of all just play

You want this: http://forum.mxsimulator.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=9203&hilit=stock+model…;

It will replace even guys whose stuff you don't have with nice looking stuff.

Try it. I did the same thing (one-button braking, anti-lock) and it changed the game for me.

I will admit I do like that feature.

another thing that might help you jason, with sx, time trial. and start out 1st lap by rolling everything. next lap try some doubles. and so on. and IMO 2011 sx was harder than 2012. keep that in mind.
the nationals from this year will just be straight up hard for anyone. unadilla just came out last night and is a bitch and a half.

Since I don't play online due to this ridiculous lack of high speed in my area, I am wanting to race against the SX demos. How exactly do I do that? I know I can download them at racefactory and put them in my personal folder but how do I get them in game? I put them under demos in my personal folder but nothing is showing up.

Help.

It should show up. You did unzip them right?
8/19/2012 12:44am
Yeah, I did. and they show up under my personal folder's demos but in game they are no where to be found. Where do I locate them in game? Do I go to replays and race against? Are they there or somewhere else?

Sounds like you've done everything right. Here's my demo folder for reference

8/19/2012 1:10am
Ok, thanks. Once its in my folder where do I go to actually race against it when game is at main menu?

Playback race, with it set to 'Race Against'
8/19/2012 1:22am
Ok, I'll try it again. Thought I did that. I must be doing something wrong. when you DL the demos are you guys extracting the whole file to the demos folder or extracting each race (for example heat 1 or main) from a particular event individually?

I think you can run subfolders in the demo folder. As long as the demo files are in there it should work

Flat corners make me angry. On another note I found myself about to hit a triple way faster than I normally would and yanked the joystick sideways and somehow pulled off the sickest scrub in MX history. I have no clue how I landed it. In fact I've tried to replicate it and can't.

I seriously don't see me every being "Good" at the game though. I pick it up and play for about 20 minutes every night before I get too frustrated and turn it off. I've probably put in hundreds of laps on the 2011 dallas sx and have probably put in less than 10 without crashing. I can't seem to get through the woops unless I hit them perfectly straight (stability is 40), and as mentioned the 2nd corner I have to barely creep around to avoid falling. I think my best lap time is around 1:07

i go through the whoops in 1st gear, kinda jump into them and then ease from half throttle to pinned, if im staying straight. or somethings to even straighten myself out. and on flats, sometimes creeping is what makes me fall. do you sit when you corner?

Yeah I've been sitting in the corners for a while now, however I've been shifting up to blitz the whoops like I would in real life.

like you mean "actual gameplay footage"?
hmm, i could try to do that. i cant make edits. but i might be able to manage quick video. maybe like 1 lap sx and a national in 3rd person in a multi player server.

ooops. i totally forgot about doing this. ill try and remember tonight.
